Living in Florida for 11 years, moved here from NY to enjoy the wonderful weather. Love sharing the space I live in with all the creatures of Florida, how nice to walk outside and see an egret or blue heron in your yard.
I bought this property for myself. I lived in the front house for 6 years and rented the back cottage to vacationers. It has been a wonderful experience sharing my space with vacationers and hearing all about their enjoyment and love of the space they are in.
The Cottage is set in a tranquil setting of fruit trees, beautiful gardens and a Koi pond with a fountain and waterfall. You can't help but relax when you set in this space. It is only 1 mile to downtown Gulfport with shopping, eating and the beach.
Gayle was so easy to work with and the cottage is just precious. It made our visit to Gulfport complete to stay in such a pristine and quiet environment as we were house hunting.
We found this cottage pictured and described accurately. It was clean, bright. cheerful. and well equipped. The Air conditioning and ceiling fans added to our comfort. Even though there is only 1 bathroom, there are 2 bathroom sink areas separated which made getting ready for the day faster. We picked up a local publication The Gabber, to find out what was going and took advantage of many activities. We attended a medical seminar at the Senior Center and enjoyed eating and shopping in Gulfport and St Petersburg. We would stay here again. This owner was helpful and nice to work with.
We were in town for a dance weekend in Gulfport and found the cottage to be a welcome quiet retreat at the end of several hours of dancing. The cottage was as nice as the photos suggest and the owner was very pleasant and accommodating to work with. We'll definitely be back and we'll expand our schedule to include more time to sit and enjoy the patio and yard. Thanks!!
We stayed here during February 2009. The description of the cottage is accurate. We found the kitchen to be well-equipped, the beds were comfortable and the living room area provided good relaxation with comfortable sofas. The garden area with its koi pond is a real plus, enabling one to dine outside or to just sit there and enjoy a drink while taking in the attractive plantings in the garden The cottage is in a residential area, about a mile from the Gulfport waterfront, the center of activity in town. It is about two miles from a major shopping area on the road to St. Pete Beach where there are supermarkets and restaurants. Highly recommended in this area is a smoked fish restaurant called "Ted Peter's," which in addition to excellent smoked fish, has other tasty seafood. The owner was most pleasant and helpful.
