Wonderful As Always

This is either our 4th or 5th visit to this cabin. As always we have always loved our stays. Because we know the house so well, it took us about 30 minutes to unpack, put all our food away and get on the porch to eat dinner. That is the best kind of vacation! We always bring our babies, 2 small Havanese puppies. They love this place and this trip was the first time in a really long time that they wanted to play with the toys we brought and really got into their hikes with dad.Our 8 year old dog she just ran and ran and ran, she hasn't done this in about 2 years since our lives changed to care for aging parents. This trip was a bit different because the internet was upgraded so we had nice strong service all week and even though the place was technically under new ownership (daughter of original owners) there wasn't any difference. Laura was fabulous and very worried that our trip was okay, did we need anything, even called to see if we need trash taken out. The kitchen is always perfect for cooking. Nice and clean, easy to prep meals, house is always clean and the hot tub is always hot. If you are a couple, ask for the king sized bed upstairs. It is soooooo comfortable. This morning I even cursed my bed, that I love, because I wanted that king size bed. The surroundings are always so nice and peaceful, the Cane Rive was deafening but so wonderful.
This has nothing to do with the cabin but we had 75 degrees one day, heavy rain one day and snow one evening. Through all of that this little cabin provided us with a great view to watch all the fun and enjoy the surroundings. For any visits to the Mountains of North Carolina, I highly recommend this cabin and Riverwalk. In the summer there are so many more activities for kids to partake in as well as all the hiking, water activities, gem mining, cook outs and just enjoying the sounds and cool breezes.
