The house is located on an acre of wooded property on private road. . The area is filled with all season sport and cultural activities. The fall foliage is a photographer's haven. During winter months the house is in a prime location for downhill skiing at Butternut, Bousquet, Catamount, and Jiminy Peak- or cross country on marked trails in conservation land and National Forests. Easy access regardless of weather. Summer: Tangelwood concerts 4 miles away- Norman Rockwell Museum, Jacob's Pillow, Shakespeare and Berkshires Theater Festivals, Canyon Ranches Spa, Cranwell Golf, plus much more. Within minutes of Lenox, Stockbridge, Great Barrington. For the shopper, there is the Prime Outlet Mall as you exit the Mass Pike.

Notes: The house is a split ranch. The lower level has a family room with a 36 ' TV and the computer. There is a master size bedroom on the lower level with twins beds and a large bathroom The utility room on this level, has a washer and dryer. The solarium, kitchen/dining, and living room are situated on the main level. There are many sky lights making this level nice and bright. The door leading to the screened in patio is off the living room. The BBQ is situated outside the patio. Two steps up from the main level is the master bedroom, the second bedroom and a large bathroom with a shower and double jet tub. The master bedroom has a king size bed and the second bedroom has a queen futon. In the living room, there is a queen hide-a bed, and there are also aero beds to be used if needed. We have a rubber 'dingy' boat which is available. The rentor may use this boat at their own risk.

This house in Lee was perfect for 8 of us--three kids (ages 6 and 8) and 5 adults for three nights in late December It is attractive, comfortable, spotlessly clean--and we had plenty of room. Although the owner could not provide us with snow (we had hoped to use the toboggans in the garage), she did everything she could to make our stay a pleasure and was wonderfully responsive to our questions. Furthermore, in the house she provided excellent resources for things to do in the area. We highly recommend the Berkshire Museum in Pittsfield for kids (a little pricey but we thought well worth the money); and there are some great places to eat in Lee (we especially liked the Cakewalk Bakery and Cafe).

Stretch out and relax

My partner and I flew in from the west coast to stay at this home with family in the vaccinity for a reunion and birthday party. Listing is accurate and well-maintained. I would definitely recommend it to anyone seeking to have a large gathering. Nine people slept there, and sixteen attended the party. We had a great time. We didn't go to any restaurants or attractions while there. We brought in food from grocery stores and cooked at the home. Note: it is not wheel chair friendly.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
Owner's Response: So pleased you had a relaxing visit. It sounds like you were able to enjoy the house. Yes, It is a split level which does not make it easy for one in a wheel chair.

Great experience. The home was comfortable and well supplied with all the necessities that made our Christmas in the Berkshires an enjoyable experience. The home was clean and well maintained. We look forward to returning in the future.

Perfect for vacationing with small children!

This pristine, beautifully maintained, fully stocked and spacious house accomodated 5 adults and 4 small children perfectly for our winter getaway! The highlight of everyone's week was by far sleddding down the hill on the side of the house on the toboggans! Loved the jacuzzi tub, the great selection of toys and games for children and adults alike, and the family-friendly floor plan! Thank you Jewel! We are seriously considering making this our yearly winter getaway!
