Shores of Panama Condo Rental Photos and Description

Condo, 1.5 Bedroom, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)


It is one of the NICEST units in Shores of Panama. It has been professionally decorated with beautiful furniture and beautiful colors. Why stay in a condo with white walls and bland furniture? We have installed new flooring throughout. We removed all the old dirty carpet.

We also installed a high capacity front loading washer and dryer for your convenience. Believe me it will come in handy on week stays. The washer that comes in most of the units at the resort will only hold 2 beach towels. Ours will hold 6 giving you more time on the beach instead of working in the condo. And since it’s a front loader, drying time is cut in half after washing a load.

Elevator is only 10 feet away from the entry to the room. We have another condo 3 floors up and can accommodate a group of two families.

Parking is on beach side with elevator close to unit, no long walking when you are in a hurry.

Our bunk beds are in a separate room with door for privacy.

Many bunk rooms are open to the kitchen or living room without a door. We even upgraded the bunk mattresses.

Our master bedroom has a king size bed. We installed a door going into the master bath for your privacy. Many units do not have this door.

Our living room has a sofa and with a queen pull out with an upgraded mattress. We also have a large LR chair with a single pull out.

This is an Interior Designer's personal condo furnished with upscale decor with comfort in mind. You have to visit with us at least once!! You will want to come back to The Shores of Panama often. Not your average rental condo!!

We are located on the 13th floor. Attention to detail is top priority to make your stay like home.

The Shores of Panama has fun children's activities, dive-in movies etc. The pool is approximately 18,000 sq. feet with 468 feet of gulf frontage. There is also an indoor heated pool, workout room, and rent able banquet space for large groups.

Absolutely the BEST!!! Come see us soon!!!

What makes this condo unique

We can walk to everything!!! Don't have to get in beach traffic during busy times. The parking garage is attached to the building, so no long walking to the car. Our condo has touch code entry, no keeping up with keys or standing in line to gain access to the condo.

Rodney was very responsive and made the check in process very easy, sending an email with instructions that were easy to follow. The condo was nicely decorated and clean, with a beautiful view, and well supplied with kitchen items, towels, and soap. Would definitely stay here again!

The first and LAST time at this resort!

The condo was nice and beautifully decorated. The owners are very nice....BUT Shores of Panama is awful. We were NOT aware we had to pay EXTRA for EVERTHING. we pull in at 12:30 am after a 5hr drive from Bham. My husband got a cart for us to unload the luggage. The first thing that was said to us was "was that cart secured when you took it?" I mean really? they were very rude. Had to leave our DL to get a cart. You would have thought it was made of gold. Next day went the pool. we were told we had to buy a wrist band for $25 a day to use the pool, even walk around the pool to go to the beach or use inside pool. Complete surprise. so we bought these wrist bands, and sat at the pool. We weren't there 10minutes and the "wrist band police" were harassing EVERYONE at the pool asking to see their wrist band. So much, people were leaving and going back to their rooms. My husband had to pull the guy aside and speak with him and head of security just so we could have some peace and quiet.. My 9yr old daughter refused to get back in the pool. when she got out of the pool she has toilet paper stuck to her face!! the elevators didnt work 2 out of the 5 days we were there, and when they did they were so slow we usually ran 13 floors with our kids. The arcade is a joke, most of the time it was closed even when the hours were clearly posted on the door. Alot of partying teenagers here. The beach was gross, the pool was nasty, the staff was rude. Really feel like we got taken advantage of....

Owner's Response: I have no words to respond to I can only provide a beautiful unit and all that I can do to make the vacation enjoyable. However, the resort makes their own choices. PLEASE write a review on Travelocity and make it clear that the resort was a dissapointment. They need to hear it and see it. I cannoot apologize for the pool police etc. I think it has gotten better.....I am sorry for your bad experience....breaks my heart

Nice Condo for Family of 3

Overall the condo was very nice and in a great location in PCB. Close to everythng. Amazing view from the balcony and master suite. LOVED the wood flooring. Nicely decorated. Appears some of the decorations were missing based on the photos, as well as a chair at the kitchen counter. Only had seating for 3 people. Hotel type hair dryers were a nice addition to both bathrooms, and they were nice dryers also. This owner did not pay for a reserved parking spot, but parking is very close if you park on the 12th need to wait for the elevators, you can just walk up the flight of stairs and you are right there at the door. Unfortunately the same cannot be said about going to the pool, other levels in the resort or to the beach. The biggest downfall for this property are the elevators. This is a very busy property and with 22 or 23 floors, you can imagine how busy these elevators can be. LONG waits, sometimes as much as 30 minutes. Some elevators didn't even work so the wait time was even longer at that elevator location. This is no fault of the owner, but still needs to be mentioned for future renters so they know what they are up against.

The other downfall was no WI-FI when we arrived even tho we were told it had it. Oddly, there were no router to be found either. Called property management on Sunday was told someone would be here Monday or Tuesday. No one showed up. Had to call again on Wednesday. Finally someone showed up that afternoon...the owner of the property management company. He installed a router and a few hours later, we were up and running.

Other downfalls include: dirty dishes that were put away when we arrived, food splatter on kitchen cabinets that wasn't cleaned, dishwasher doesn't clean the dishes unless you practically wash them beforehand, broom is too small, no area rugs/entry rugs by the doors or at the kitchen sink, moved coffee table to pull out sofa bed and there crumbs and such all under it. Gave the living room and kitchen a good sweep and was amazed at how much dirt and dust bunnies there were considering it was just cleaned by the cleaning crew. Glass table was dirty upon arrival. Mops in the closet were disgusting.

Recommendations: get a new cleaning srvc, get a new dishwasher, add some rugs by the doors to wipe off feet (it rained the entire time we were here so our feet were always wet), get a new broom that is bigger, get a new mop and replace the sponges often. Replace missing chair.

Beach Girl

We had a wonderful time at Shores, particularly in your upscale unit. It was clean, neat, well decorated and comfortable. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. The location of Shores in PC could not be more ideal. We were able to walk to our favorite restaurant, Dee's. So glad all the road work finished and have to say it was worth waiting for as they did an excellent job of nice sidewalks and turn lanes, etc. so that when we want to go to our favorite church down there, Woodlawn Methodist, or to Another Broken Egg for breakfast traffic moves smoothly. Enjoyed immensely!!!

Beautiful Condo

This condo was beautiful, clean, and met or exceeded my expectations. The decor was upgraded and there were plenty of places to sit in the living area. The view was amazing... straight out to the beach. I would definitely stay in this condo again. The location was the best as far as view and convenience to the parking garage and elevators. Beautiful and comfortable!!! Can't wait to go back next year.

Not worth the $$$

All in all we had an okay time. The resort is an organizational disaster presently. People were waiting over 2 hours to check in. The front desk people are as rude as I've ever seen too. The condo itself was dirty. It needs a full day deep clean. It looks like a fraternity just moved out. Drinks splattered on kitchen walls, crooked pictures, all the walls and baseboards need painted, the front door was dirty with paint peeling off, the balcony floor was filthy, and just overall, it was a dirty condo. We were not pleased. The best thing about the place is the pool still. You can't beat it. For the money we spent though, it's not nearly worth it. This condo should be half the price to make it more worthwhile. That or it needs to actually look like it did in the photos, and it doesn't. We won't stay here again.

Owner's Response: Shores of panama had a turnover of front desk management that was a nightmare during that time. The on site cleaning was called and tried at least three times to address the cleaning complaint as quick as possible. The front door is exposed to the outside and I must admit the door can not be kept perfectly clean. It as well as other doors exposed directly to the weather look dirty. During peak summer deep cleans as well as balcony cleans are tougher. The condo pictures are of the unit and it is cleaned by the owner as much as possible, however during peak summer this condo is rented every week. If there is a cleaning issue the cleaners are called back but were not successful in getting access to work with the unhappy client. It is with regret that anyone was not happy with the cleanliness of the unit or the resort. Unhappy renters are taken seriously but this did not work out.

The pool was great! There was plenty for the grandkids to do. The elevators on the other hand were very slow and crowed. Need more luggage carts! The condo itself was ok. The furnishings and fixtures were updated but the condo could have been much cleaner. Bought cleaning supplies to clean all the counters and glass top tables that looked like they had been flipped over instead of cleaned. Bathroom towels were dingy and had dirty spots on them, after a washing in hot water they came clean. The mattress that was suppose to be "so comfy" was like sleelping in a hole, you rolled to the center. The reserved parking space that came with the condo was great, very close to the elevator, and one of the reasons we booked this condo. But after our 5th day someone else started parking in the reserved spot. We told security and the front desk twice about it, then finally they told us that the owners of the condo let the president of the condo association park there. Owners should have informed us this may happen. Despite the condo problems we had a wonderful vacation!

Owner's Response: Our units are on the rental program at Shores with the intention of making it convenient for our guests to get service immediately if there are cleaning and linen issues. These issues were reported to the management company via email and phone calls after we were made aware on the post. I do wish the elevators and luggage carts were not an issue. They are especially frustrating on weekends and in the summer. The mattress issue was addressed immediately when we received this review. The bed frame was broken in the middle and we are getting it replaced. We make any repairs or damaged items a priority. As far as the reserved spot we do not know. We have a reserved spot and if someone was in it the front desk should have had it moved with a phone call immediately. They should have also notified us. The person that has parked in it in the past has always understood that if we have a guest in the room they do not park in the spot. This has also been addressed with management. We regret that our condo and complex were not up to par or expectations of our guest. We take it very seriously and address all issues as quickly as possible.
