About Owner

I have been offering luxury holiday accommodations since 1999, with properties in Paris, the South of France, London and Napa Valley, California. Residential design and decor is my passion, and I strive to provide dwelling places that are more expressive, more beautiful, more comfortable than most vacation rentals. I live part-time in all these places. So each functions as a personal 'home' -- not just an impersonal rental property. So there are many things, both big and small -- from superb heating and air conditioning to an extensive French art glass collection to oyster knives, a sushi set and escargot forks -- that are not usually found in properties that are used exclusively as rentals. The hallmark of each residence is its personal style, which reflects its unique character and location. For example, my Paris penthouse, the top floor of a handsome Art Deco building with sweeping views of the Eiffel Tower and Parisian rooftops, is thoughtful designed with the idea of bringing the look and feel of skyscape and its light inside with a calm silver-grey palette sparked by carefully placed bursts of glass, chrome, mirrors and colour. My philosophy is that I would never rent a property that I would not stay in myself. So, putting myself into my guests’ shoes, I 'think of everything' -- as my many 'five-star' guest reviews confirm -- to make your stay a most positive and memorable experience.

Owner purchased this apartment in 2006

Why Owner chose 7th Arrondissement Eiffel Tower

If you read the many excellent 'five-star' guest reviews, they thoroughly answer the question, 'Why this property?' Personally, I lived in Paris for several years before purchasing the penthouse so I was quite familiar with the City and the profile of different arrondissements and neighborhoods. I chose this property and location because 1) I LOVE the Eiffel Tower, and the penthouse has fantastic views of it from 5 windows and the apartment itself if very light, open and airy, 2) the neighborhood is lively (with many cafes/restaurants and stores), safe AND truly Parisian. That is, it's not overrun by tourists so you really live like a local while you're here, 3) it offers convenient day-to-day living -- stores/services, such as post office, big and small supermarkets, an outdoor market are within a 2-5 minute walk 4) the penthouse is only one block from a convenient metro line that provides easy access to all major sights in the city and a five minute walk to the Champs des Mars, the huge park that surrounds the Eiffel Tower, which provides a great place to walk/run/and people watch.

What makes this apartment unique

I never tire of the stunning views of the Eiffel Tower from each of the penthouse windows. The view is especially inspiring from the window of fully-equipped office/study. So as I work, I can glaze from my desk (which is smack in front of the window) and see this marvelous structure. I also love the privacy of the penthouse, the conveniences (bakeries, food/convenience stores, wine bar) at are literally a 30 second walk from outside the building gates) truly Parisian neighborhood, and walking/exercising on the Champs des Mars, the park where the Eiffel Tower is located.

Guestbook comments from the owner

"LPR is an absolute gem and we will absolutely return (for a longer time!) Paula, you have thought of everything and it was all appreciated. We arrived back at LPR each evening of our stay, completely amazed that the Eiffel Tower awaited us yet again; it is a sight never to tire of."

GREAT PLACE TO STAY

  • 5 of 5

Just back home today and wanted to write this before I forgot. My wife and I LOVED staying in this apartment, and as you can tell from the reviews, we are not alone. I was going to stay in a hotel room at first but didn't want to be cramped in a 200 foot room, especially for a week, so I started researching VRBO. This unit excelled any others I could find in the 1 BR range. All of the amenities are accurately listed by the owner and others. It was wonderful having a place like this to return to each day, a nice woman to pick us up at the airport and explain how everything worked (Victoria - so crazy running into you in the Loire Valley!), everything you could possibly want at your disposal, a complete personal guidebook and library with every available Paris guidebook, a bottle of Champagne, chocolates and liquor, fully stocked kitchen, Nespresso machine and teas, tons of storage, cute pictures and a Marc Chagall poster, free WI-FI and laptop with a view of the Eiffel Tower (so fun to watch it sparkle at night), the quiet, secure building, the mostly cute little neighborhood, the proximity to the metro stops.... too many to list. Stay here!

Owner's Response: With all the thousands of vacation rentals now flooding the Paris market, we know to stay competitive we have to provide accommodations, service and amenities that can be likened to those of a 5-star hotel. What we deliver at the Paris Penthouse is UNMATCHED by 99% of the other 1 bed/1 bath properties. Guest enjoy GREAT VALUE and an EXCEPTIONAL rental EXPERIENCE, as our 100+ 5-star reviews confirm.

What A View!

  • 5 of 5

Once again Paula did not disappoint. As advertised, the flat was wonderfully situated (the view of Eiffel's Tower was mesmerizing at all times of the day), and the apartment itself was elegantly appointed and very, very, comfortable. I loved 'being in the neighborhood', and the shops and cafés around Cambronne were excellent and exciting. I did not want to leave!

Absolutely Perfect.

  • 5 of 5

We had an absolutely delightful time in Paris. The apartment in perfectly situated to see the city, mere moments walk from the Metro, boulangerie, brasseries, grocers, and a pharmacy and a pleasant stroll from the Eiffel Tower (which is a must in the evening). Being able to see the Tower sparkling from our bedroom window was rather special!

The apartment itself is beautifully and tastefully furnished and thoughtfully kitted out with anything one might need. We chose to eat in several nights and I was delighted to find everything I needed to cook and more, even a supply of basic spices, oil and salt and pepper!

The shower was a treat, really roomy with fantastic pressure and the washer and dryer and dishwasher all easy to work, with translations provided where necessary.

We were all delighted by the numerous thoughtful little touches throughout the apartment; the champagne and goodies left to welcome us, the candles and champagne glass left in the bathroom ready for the post sightseeing soak, the folder of helpful information, the guidebooks and massage chair in the office, and the terrific selection of films featuring Paris which were absolutely what we needed after being on our feet all day!

I can't recommend the apartment highly enough, we found Paula the owner a pleasure to deal with and Victoria, the manager who greeted us, charming and helpful. All in all an elegant and comfortable base from which to explore one of the world's great cities!

Exactly as described and exactly what I wanted!

  • 5 of 5

Having read most of the reviews before I contacted Paula about the unit I find myself wanting to make this review simple for the reader... Perfection and DITTO on the reviews! Guidebooks galore (left a few myself), office for that work that simply won't leave you alone, TV/DVD/DVR (yep figured out how to use that on my own..taped a few movies and left them on the DVR)...and the Eiffel Tower...what more needs to be said?

The apt was fabulous and the location superb...I walked just about everywhere but when I felt the need for a METRO due to the weather or tired feet, there were three stops available in a short distance from the apt. Everything one would need for an extended stay (my trip was a month) was available in this apt and in this location in the city. I had the good fortune of arriving on the day that Paula was leaving for her other home in France, so she walked me around the neighborhood pointing out places I would find useful and necessary. My pickup from the airport by Victoria was seamless and informative. If you are travelling with a smart phone I highly recommended adding the UBER app to your phone they are incredibly in-expensive in Paris...I called one for my ride to the airport...had there not been an accident the ride would have been 40Euro...but it was only 50Euro...I have heard ridiculous amounts being spent so just a word to the wise.

I will be returning again to Paris and will be hoping that the unit will be available for me as I became very spoiled with the comforts of the apt, the views, the neighborhood and the perfect location in the city.

Spectacular home base for Paris

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from our 25th anniversary trip. We had done extensive research on VRBO and elsewhere before choosing Paula's apartment. Our expectations were sky-high, and these were all met or exceeded. The view is more impressive in person than it appears in photos. Likewise, the size of the apartment is generous, and is larger in person than in photos. The kitchen is well stocked with equipment for cooking or beverages, and has pantry items for cooking in. Dishwasher and washer/dryer were very much appreciated. Anything you will need, I think you will find provided for you here. There are guidebooks, and a very detailed comprehensive guide to help you use all of the appliances etc., as well as advice about Paris. There is a collection of Paris-themed DVDs and the cable includes several English news options. WiFi was excellent. Lots of natural light from numerous windows on both sides of the building. Bathroom features a large tub and a separate shower with rain, handheld, and body spray options. The décor is lovely and very tasteful and practical.

Location is really good, with two Metro stations within a few minutes' walk. Neighborhood is nice, with restaurants, large and small grocers, and at least three boulangerie, a wine/liquor shop, and a boucherie very nearby. Taxis were available (even at 5:30 a.m. on a Saturday for our trip to CDG) about four minutes' walk away. We did extensive walking, including to Musee d'Orsay one day, and back from the Grand Palais another. The walk to the tower is lovely.

It is all here. It is a well-appointed, "she's thought of everything," romantic place to stay. Victoria was a wonderful source of information and very generous making herself available for any queries during our stay. Both Paula and Victoria were very responsive and helpful before and during our stay.

Save for someone who cannot climb one flight of stairs, I just can't think of any kind of traveling couple for whom this wouldn't be a fantastic place to stay in Paris. We had a week that we will treasure. Fantastic!

Magical, holiday stress reliever!

  • 5 of 5

What an incredible place. Created with such loving detail, one feels the warm embrace of a true "home away from home" upon entering. That is of course if home is a 5 star luxury getaway as this charmer has both. Perfect 'single gal in the city pad' for the days I had on my own & 'dreamy romantic getaway' after my boyfriend arrived. Everything you could ask for & more. Plus a perfect office to write great works with the Tour Eiffel blazing, beautifully right in front of your eyes. A place of inspiration! Thank you Paula, your amazing taste, flawless eye & loving attention to every luxurious detail made our stay a true dream. Has the feel of grand hotel room with all the extra space & amenities of a great home! Thank you Victoria. You both made every correspondence an ease & a pleasure. Victoria is Paris' greatest ambassador! We will be back!!
