Response to (Kinda Dirty) Happycrabber's review
Normally I would not let a review bother me, as a owner, because I believe everyone is entitled to a opinion, and quite honestly, the truth helps us fix problems and give us suggestions on how to make things better. I am a little upset on the way our renters for the dates of June 18th-June 21 handled this. I send a confirmation sheet to everyone, confirming the dates our renters have booked their stay, and a list of things they may need to bring. It also states, that if there is any problems at all with the condo, to please contact us immed. It states that if they do this, anything that would be wrong, could be fixed immed, or they would not be held responsible for it. We also tell our renters that they are responsible for leaving the unit clean and this saves them a cleaning fee. This has worked great for us, for years. However when our renter (Happycrabber) was down there, we didn't receive one complaint until it was time for the next renters to come in. Apparently Happycrabber, didn't abide by the confirmation paper, and thought he could stay an extra night. We had to ask the people coming in, to please allow this family a few hours extra to leave and could they please come back. Luckily, the family coming in was very understanding about this situation. We even called the family that did not depart on time, to let them know that they needed to depart, that their booked time was that day, and we heard no complaintes of anything being dirty or broken. As far as it being hot, it was a matter of a wrong setting on the A/C, that could've been taken care of with a phone call. The garbage disposal had a plastic bread tie, which was easily fixed by our maintenance man. Had we received a call about that, we would have had him come out to look at it right away. The first we heard of this was after he departed late and returned home. Had he just spoken with us, we would have compensated him gladly if there was any problem. We want to work with our renters to make their stay as nice as we can. We can not do that unless the lines of comunication stay open. I hope that any future interested renters will understand this. Thanks you!
