Cornfield Point - 3-bedroom air conditioned house is only a few minute walk to the beach. The vaulted ceilings in the living room with fireplace and kitchen have an airy feel. The living room has two sliding doors, which open up to the screened in porch with jalousie windows. The home has expanded cable TV in 3 rooms, stereo with CD player and ipod docking station, DVD / VCR. Washer & Dryer and air conditioning in home. Tenants bring sheets and towels. The yard has table, chairs and a gas grill available for those summer cookouts. The neighborhood is a private community. An attendant maintains the beaches daily. Please no pets and no smoking in the house.

Activities and Attractions

The Cornfield Point Association provides a playground for your children, basketball and tennis court. For the golfers, the Fenwick Golf course is available to the public. In addition, you are only 30 minutes from Mohegan Sun Casino or Mystic Seaport. Outlet shopping is only a few miles away.

Coming from Connecticut we wanted to visit friends and family again. We decided to rent Lynne's beautiful home in Old Saybrook. The beach is amazing. Never crowded and very clean. The front porch is a wonderful place to hide from the kids. :-) My husband and I are very sad to leave. Lynne has a very clean, beautiful, and relaxing home. I look forward to coming back again.


Plus she has already sent the deposit back! A huge plus. Thank you Lynne.

A lovely home

My two brothers, my sister, and I spent 3 days at this charming home. We walked to the beach (5 minutes away) two or three times a day, sat by the fireplace with our morning coffee and talked and talked.
The house is very comfortable, the decorations delightful, and the surrounding community quiet and friendly. We explored the coastline in all directions. I went to the Mystic aquarium twice. Fabulous! It was a memorable family reunion. Parking was spacious and made the event possible. The well equipped and clean(!) kitchen was used for home cooked meals and great conversation. It was great all around.

Delightful Beach cottage

Bright and clean and a short walk from a well-maintained private beach. We enjoyed relaxing in beach chairs with books and brought kayaks with us and enjoyed some spectacular paddles! (There are also places to rent kayaks close by.) Don't miss a run or walk on the nearby waterfront causeway. Everything is close by, restaurants, stores, a cute main street, outlet shopping. The home has a wonderful screened front porch and open, airy living space...and everything you need for a stress-free getaway!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

We had a fabulous visit to Conn and Mass and your cottage was a BIG part of our enjoyment!!!.....it is a perfect blend of the old cottage feel with just enough of the modern that we are used to that makes it soooooo comfortable.....I hope we did a credible job of leaving it the way we found it because when we arrived we found it very clean and inviting......You have done an amazing renovation of your cottage!!!
We certainly would rent from you again although it is very unlikely we will return again......but never say never and we would highly recommend it if the opportunity ever arises......again, thank you Lynne.....it was a pleasure doing business with you......most sincerely, Jayne & Jean

...as nice as they are. This is a really lovely place, clean, bright, and airy. The vaulted ceiling in the living/dining area absolutely MAKES it. With the exception of sheets and towels, everything we could possibly want was provided - even a very helpful folder of local restaurants, shops and attractions. In spite of some inclement weather early in the week (which gave us an excuse to use the fireplace, much to the kids' delight!), we had a wonderful time.

Literally the only drawback is the main road in front of the house, which is Route 154 and therefore a bit busier than we cared for. Still, I would rent this place again in a heartbeat.
