Folly Beach is a completely unique place. It's more like an old-fashioned American beach town than anywhere on the East Coast of the U.S. While it is undergoing a surge in popularity, it still has many humble, tumbled-down beach cottages right next to large 'mega-beach mansions'. The downtown area has comfortable cafes and bar and the locals are welcoming and just colorful enough to make it interesting. The 'Enchanted Beach Cottage' on this site is a guest house on a site with a beautifully restored 1940 vintage cottage. It is strategically located to give you the best of all worlds: on a street shaded by palm trees and ancient live oaks but close to the ocean and to the heart of town.
