Close to all Acadia National Park activities, and the free Island Explorer bus which will pick you and your bike up for easy travel to the park carriage roads, trails, and Bar Harbor. Southwest Harbor's village center, Beal's Lobster Pound, and the town dock are just a short distance away. Bike and kayak rentals are available in the village. Echo Lake and Long Pond are close by for swimming and kayaking. Excellent hiking trails for all levels of ability.

Beautiful but uncomfortable beds

this cottage is beautifully decorated and on a very nice piece of property with a private yard and a deck. It would be perfect if the beds in the master bed room were not so uncomfortable. The mattress is super soft, we turned it over which made it a little better but we still felt like we were not able to sleep well at all. I also contacted the owner after our stay about an item that we might have left there and she never responded.
