Looking for the perfect hassle-free mountain retreat? This brand-new home has it all: bright and airy rooms, comfortable furnishings, a great deck for summer barbecues, and all the modern conveniences you're accustomed to. You can't go wrong! On the main floor, the kitchen, dining area, and living room form one open area. The dining table seats 6 (8 with additional table leaf), and several stools by the kitchen counter provide a great place for a casual meal or a quick snack. In the living room you'll find huge windows and high ceilings. Past the living room are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a king bed. The bathroom on this floor has a luxurious jacuzzi tub, a shower and twin sinks. Downstairs is a bunk room with backyard access and its own entertainment center, a third bedroom (with queen bed), bathroom and laundry room.

This house is just two miles from the village of Franconia, so you won't have to go far to enjoy the natural splendor of the White Mountains. You might even see a bear or a moose in the backyard! If you're coming up to ski or snowboard, Cannon Mountain is practically next door, but Loon and Bretton Woods are also within driving distance.

    Winter 2008-2009: $1,100/week, $750/3 night weekend.
    Holiday 2008: $1500/week.

This house is the perfect home base for skiing! After a full day at the slopes, your family will love the radiant floor heat and the cozy gas fireplace. And you won't even have to clean off your car in the morning—just park it in the heated garage!

Spring, summer and fall also offer numerous activities in the White Mountains. Hiking, visiting waterfalls, antiquing and viewing the spectacular fall foliage are favorites. The Flume, the Basin, Echo Lake, the Tram at Cannon Mountain, the Ski Museum and the Appalacian Trail are minutes away. Clark's Trading Post, Whale's Tale Waterpark, the Alpine Slide at Attitash, airplane gliding, horseback riding, Chutter's of Littleton (the longest candy counter in the world), antique shops and excellent restaurants are also nearby. Lincoln and the incredible Kancamagus highway are 15 minutes away. North Conway (for outlet shopping or Storyland) is a 45 minute scenic drive through Crawford Notch. Polly's Pancake Parlor (for breakfast or lunch) in Sugar Hill is not to be missed! Also check out The Garnet Hill Outlet Store and Robert Frost's home in Franconia.

This great little house is in a perfect location for skiing or hiking in the White Mountains. We stayed for 2 weeks, and found the property to be very comfortable and well-equiped. I would highly recommend a stay in this cozy/quiet home
