Ancient Rhododendrons, Azaleas & English Ivy create an oasis of beauty that surrounds you as you take time for yourself. Relax on your screened porch in a cozy rocker or soak in your private hot tub. Escape to your breezy sun-porch bedroom for a nap or to the classic knotty pine bedroom for a good book. Enjoy a bubble bath in you vintage claw-foot tub. Take the five minute walk to the top of the mountain for a great view or take the 3 minute drive to the lake for a day of fun. Our charming 1940s, vacation cottage was newly renovated in spring 2005. The cottage is beautifully decorated in classic cottage-style with original knotty pine walls and ceilings. It has a field stone rock fireplace with gas logs. Exclusive Lake Summit is a three minute drive away, 4 miles to Flat Rock & the State Playhouse, 10 minutes to historic Hendersonville, & 30 minutes to Asheville and the Biltmore Estate. We spent a week at Cranmore Cottages' Ivy Cottage. It was the perfect mountain retreat about 10 minutes from downtown. The cottage was very nicly decorated and very clean. The hot tub was nice after day long hikes in the mountains. We cooked in every night and slept in most days. It was so peaceful. Heather was a tremendous help in helping us plan what to do. The cottages are family owned and operated too, which gives a personal touch. We look forward to returning!

Perfect Honeymoon!

The Ivy Cottage was everything we hoped for and more for our honeymoon. We loved the hot tub on the porch it was very peaceful and private. The cottage was very cozy and decorated beautifully. We visited downtown Hendersonville and Asheville's Biltmore Estate. We also hiked to Triple Falls and High Falls. We would recommend this cottage to anyone! We will be back.

Words cannot express how much we enjoyed our stay here at the Ivy Cottage. The charm of this place consumes you as you sit and visualize all the happy times that occured here over the years. How many people must have looked forward to returning here.
We sincerely appreciate the hospitality. It's obvious you have worked very hard to make this place feel like home,

A True Special Getaway

We really enjoyed ringing in the new year in your lovely cottage in the woods! Felt very private and the views are gorgeous... just what we wanted for some time away. The knotty pine against the stone fireplace makes for a great rustic mountain retreat while the nice touches like the hot tub add a sense of luxury. Loved reading in the sitting area of the violet room & seeing the sun filter through the ivy-covered windows. We hope to make a tradition of this.
