Description of the West Tisbury vacation house rental
The Woods House is situated on 5.6 acres of secluded woodland, surrounded by conservation, farmland and two large estates, this property is 0.8 miles up Christiantown Road and provides tranquil privacy in a relaxed setting. This 28 by 32 ft. passive solar modified salt-box home was completely remodeled in 2004, beds, carpet, and bath fixtures, it is cool in the heat of summer and warm and cozy during the off-season. A nicely furnished three-bedroom house with two queens one double up, and two twins down provides ample sleeping accommodations for 8. There are two full baths one on each floor, and an open air outside shower (thanks to the lack of neighbors) lawn chairs and hammock. Washer dryer a fully equipped kitchen, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, blender and a Gas grill, broadcast TV, DVD, VCR, if desired. The Woods House is about one mile from North Tisbury shopping district; public transportation, provides access to West Tisbury beaches, choose from Long Point or Sepiessa.

The Christiantown area of West Tisbury is a secluded enclave of some of the oldest woods on the Vineyard. Located on the south side of the ridge that runs along the north shore of the island. The historic chapel and native burial grounds have beautiful walking trails. The Woods House is 0.8 miles up this charming dirt road and only 1 1/4 miles from North Tisbury shopping district, 1 1/2 miles from Arrowhead Farm and horseback riding, 3 miles from Lamberts Cove beach. On foggy nights you can hear the fog horn at Nobska Light, and if it's blowing from the west the surf crashing on the rocky north shore can be heard in the quiet of the evening. Free range organic eggs, grass fed lamb and if you're lucky, Christiantown chevre can be found at our farm next door to top off your Island stay.
