The cottage is located on three secluded acres, 3.4 miles North of Route 28 on Route 214, about 2 hours from NYC. It's nestled between two mountains with the Stony Clove Creek at the rear of the heavily wooded property. Conveniently located, just 10 minutes to Hunter Mountain and 6 minutes to Phoenicia. Completely remodeled and kept immaculately clean, the cottage offers a full tiled bath, full kitchen with all amenities including dishwasher, Cable TV in all bedrooms and an Audio/Video system with DVD in the living room. A water filtration system eliminates iron/sulphur smell common to the area. You'll feel as if you're miles away from civilization as you enjoy a stream-side campfire at the picnic area at the rear of the cottage.

Located in the Heart of the Catskills, the cottage is 1141 feet above sea level. We're about 20 minutes west of Woodstock and just 10 minutes from Hunter Mountain. It has been billed as “The Snowmaking Capitol of the World”, so even after a warm spell, conditions rebound quickly. Nearby ski slopes include Windham, Belleayre and Plattekill. Phoenicia is 6 minutes away and offers art galleries, antique shops and great dining at a variety of price levels

Picnic Area and Fire Ring: A trail to the right of the cottage leads down through some woods to a stream side picnic table and fire ring. The setting is truly beautiful, the mountain views are spectacular.

Equipment Shed: An 8'X10' equipment shed located at the rear of the cottage stores the provided lawn furniture and bicycles, with room to spare for skis etc.

I just got back from ten days at this lovely cottage and I give it my highest recommendation. The cottage was perfect -- spotless, well equipped with everything we needed; and and a lovely yard.

The area is beautiful with great hiking, etc. The town of Phoenicia (next town over) was charming and friendly.

And the owner was terrific -- provided everything to make for a perfect stay.

Very clean, comfortable, and modern cottage! Paul was a gentleman and shoveled the path for us as soon as it started to snow! I would recommend this property for rental. The process was convenient and simple!

Clean, secluded and lovely cottage. Great owner (who lives next door) who attends to all your needs/wants. Well located near rafting in the summer and skiing in the winter. Great outdoor grill we used every day. A real winner!!!
