This thatched farmhouse with two holiday apartments is situated on the grounds of a working farm in the town of Oosterhout, in the Dutch province of Brabant.
The location offers plenty of privacy as well as a lovely view of the surrounding countryside.
This authentic farm lodging has a tidy design and a lovely rustic ambience thanks to the wood-burning stove in the living room.
Kids will have a great time playing with the tractors and pedal carts on the farm.
Some nice excursions for the kids include the nearby children's farm, about a 10-minute walk away, the Efteling (25 km) and the Beekse Bergen Safari Park (30 km).
And don't forget to visit the Biesbosch nature preserve and admire the beautiful natural setting from an electric boat.
Oosterhout's historic city centre offers a variety of drinking and dining options as well as a covered shopping centre.
You can also pay a visit to the charming and picturesque city of Breda to experience Brabant hospitality at its many restaurants, bars and pavement cafes. Take a boat tour of the city's canals or enjoy a shopping trip in the city centre.
Due to the thatched roof of the holiday home, it is not allowed to launch firework at the house.

We had a wonderful holiday at the Homestead Leijsen Akker. A welcoming reception by Anton Nel. Fresh flowers on the table and a cozy homely décor. We have not been inside a lot because of the nice weather. In the well-kept large flower we could enjoy breakfast, coffee and "evening meal. Example rural but very close to the city of Oosterhout. We have visited the Toy Museum and bakery museum. Both are highly recommended! Oosterhout, we also found a cozy city \u200b\u200band many shops and a very good resaurantjes ijssallon. It did not happen to go cycling, a shame because the area is pretty enough.
Very warm welcome and a great home for our family. Our granddaughter of two has a great time in the garden, where she could fully go her way
We are very warmly welcomed by the owners. Beds are made up for you and for the children a horse was removed from the whey. What a wonderful place! Outside, but also inside the house. At a first glance, the "old" furniture getting used to, but "it does have some." And everything is clean, tidy and the decor is very complete. Oosterhout has surprised us very nice place! Toy Museum and Petting MEK are recommended.
Fine, nice location, converted stables, thatched farmhouse. Ample, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. Interior somewhat dated, but otherwise fine. The property also does have some, at least more atmosphere than a home is a park Landal or Center Parks. Reception friendly and welcoming. Beautiful garden with lots of privacy. The weather was perfect. "At night the wood stove stoked with wood that we got from the owner. 2-bed downstairs has a too soft mattress.
Came from over seas to visit family and had no idea what to expect. We were able to entertain at &quotour vacation home&quot with everything we needed. Lovely setting, very comfortable, beautiful home. Thank you so much!
We were warmly welcomed. There were fresh flowers on the table and the beds were already made. And what a beautiful location with a lovely garden, we enjoyed the spring sunshine. A location and within walking distance of the center of Oosterhout. On Saturday we thoroughly cooked six of us. The large kitchen lent itself well to this. And was fully equipped. And the sugar that we forgot we were just borrowing from our neighbors, landlords. We enjoyed it!!
