Lake House Retreat for Those Wanting to Escape

Soooo glad we didn't rent on Lake George!!!! This was incredibly relaxing and calming to the soul, and the proximity to Lake George is there in spades if you want it. Our family (inclusive of a 2 and 6 year old) was welcomed by the owners which are very accommodating and make themselves available to you should you have any needs. Sandy brought the paper over every morning for my father, who was thrilled to have experienced this vacation with us. The accommodations are comfortable, the fishing was great and convenient from the dock, and access to the lake via the canoe or kayak makes it unnecessary for you to even bother bringing your own along with you. Everything is there that you need, and the outdoor chimney is killer. The only shortcoming we came across (and it reflects our professional bias) are the inexpensive cutlery. This seems inherent though for a rental property, but my wife and I are both classically trained chefs and dread using cheap cutlery. A quirk we deal with every year no matter where we go on vacation.
My father inquired what we need to do to rent the property, and implied that "all things remaining equal, and everyone still here next year (he's 82), it wouldn't be all that bad to come back next year!" That, my fine reader, is a rave!!!
