Comfort, Relaxation, Convenient
This cottage ranks as the best that I've rented in the area through many visits through the years. It was the most relaxing vacation we've ever taken. The reviews gave me a good idea of what to expect but I was still surprised to find appliances that ranked with what we have at home making it a true "home away". The decor is replete with Adirondack touches. Plenty of dishes and utensils, comfortable beds and living room furniture, multiple places to sit and enjoy the view, games, videos, books are available. The lake is a quiet lake that you can enjoy with the provided canoe and kayak (minimal boat traffic). Fishing is great from the dock and there are multiple outside seating areas to enjoy the view. If you don't want to cook, there are many good restaurants close by. The bike trail to Lake George is nearby and provides a shady wilderness ride to the village of Lake George. You can also travel south on the bike trail to Glens Falls and the Feeder Canal multi-use trail. I'd recommend this to anyone who likes their comfort while still wanting to feel like they are "in the woods". The owners live next door and are available for recommendations if you need them but aren't intrusive during your visit.
