Save money on gas, take the trolleys everywhere. Trolley stop outside condo.Beautiful condo, newly renovated, lovely decor. Kitchenette, one bathroom, one bedroom- queen size- white wicker. Pull out couch in living room full size. Large folding table for dinner, small table butcher block for kitchen with stools, Deck furniture including table, Desk, TV, VCR, CD player. Cook out grill for use with picnic tables by pool. Kitchenette includes all you need including stove, a toaster, blender, microwave and lobster pot. Bring only your sheets and towels or I can supply. No laundry service unless requested, extra fee Laundromat close by. Condo is located at 76 Post Road in the Holiday House Complex with beautiful grounds and flowers with pool. Considered Wells, but right on line of Ogunquit (owner has pet, so if you are allergic to dogs, this is not the place for you. even though dogs are not allowed for renters)

Nearest Beach: beach at 1.0 Miles
On the line of Ogunquit 'Beautiful Place by the Sea' and yes it is! Visit down town Ogunquit, quaint, coffee pastry shops, gift shops, theater and the best restaurants. Don't miss the main beach and take the trolley down. There are shops and great snacks. Then take a walk down the marginal way a beautiful walk over the cliffs. Then visit Perkins Cove home of Barnacle Billies my favorite place for seafood, lobster pound restaurant for more casual and another restaurant for sit down fancy. Other great restaurants, boats and great gift shops. Take the trolley all over right from the condo. Walk to Footbridge Beach in 15 minutes. Catch crabs or dig for clams. Take a boat ride off of Perkins Cove to the lighthouse or on a lobster boat or just a breakfast or sunset cruise. The trolleys at night are beautiful. Visit Wells, with mini golf, a light house, The Scoop Deck for great home made ice cream. Find The Wells Natural Reserve an wild life reserve with beautiful hikes and beach to walk.

Close to beaches, three minutes from Footbridge Beach in Ogunquit, isolated and lovely with concession stand and bathroom but not the crowds. Take the trolley to this beach or Ogunquit Main beach and enjoy walking to the shops or strolling the Marginal way a walk along the cliffs. Ogunquit has wonderful shops and restaurants. The trolley ride is fun and takes you all over including Perkins Cover which has great Seafood. Take a lovely trolley ride at night enjoy the night air and the festivities. People are friendly and jovial. Up the street in Wells there are more beaches, Moody, and Wells beach. Enjoy mini golf close by tow different places. Also hiking at natural reserve and Rachel Carson reserve. There are theaters in Ogunquit, movie theaters in Wells and Ogunquit. York's Wild Animal park is great for kids. Take a drive to York a lovely seaside town or Kennebunkport. Or sit by the pool and enjoy doing very little. The pool is beautiful and the grounds.

Lovely people live in this Condo community. Try Congdons Dognuts! Also great Ogunquit Lobster Pound where you pick your own. Come and relax and enjoy all the sites and of course the beach minutes from the condo and tan, swim, walk and collect sea shells. I know you will love 'The Periwinkle' my hide away condo.

My daughters and I stayed here during the end of September and had a fantastic time. We found the condo to be spotless, nicely decorated, and well equipped with everything we needed (and more). The location was great. The landlord was very easy to work with and helpful with ideas on where to go/things to do in the area. It was our first real vacation in Maine and we'll be back!

Disappointed and Mislead

"Condo" very small only about 250 sq.ft., it's a privately owned motel efficiency. There is no cleaning fee because each renter is expected to clean up for the next renter, which was not disclosed on website. I don't think the previous renter did much, I had to wash everything twice, once upon arrival (because bed linens/towels were not clean) and again when we left as not to shaft the next renter. Also condo needs a good thorough cleaning. I would have preferred to pay a $50.00 cleaning fee than take 3+ hours out of my vacation doing laundry and cleaning this place. Further, the grill noted on the website is NOT a propane but instead a charcoal. So we had to purchase charcoal, lighter fluid, etc. in order to use. I would have appreciated knowing all the aforementioned prior to renting this "condo." I was disappointed and mislead. Would Not Recommend this place to friends/family, and will rent this place next year.
Owner's Response: I do not feel this review is fair . I have had only positive responses and everyones needs are different. At this time I was going through personal family issues and could not get up their to clean, but normally it is very clean. Yes it is small but the price is excellent. If you want a large place you will pay alot more. As for the grill, I do own a grill that is under the stairs that is a propane which was instructed as its location. Some people do not read the material I leave them. There is a grill on the property that is available for anyone and that is a charcoal grill. So that is not misleading. And some people would not be happy anywhere. There is no housekeeping and if you want that you can stay in a regular hotel room and you will not have the personal touch that my condo has. We stay there ourselves . I am sorry that they were not happy but I do not feel my ad is misleading. I do not state that there is housekeeping. Most people bring their own linens. I supply them if people come a long distance.

This "Condo" is so small, I don't think it can be classified as a condo. And it isn't as clean as the owner claims. She is asking each tenant to clean up after themselves. You know how that goes; the place does not get any actual cleaning between renters. Not for me!! I doubt that this will be published as you usually only publish with the owners acceptance of the review, but I hope that people are warned about this.

Perfect for Couple

My wife and I stayed at this property in September, 2008. It is small but is perfect for a couple. Very good location that is close to everything. We bought lobsters from a local lobster pound and cooked them in the lobster pot provided in the room. Very wonderful experience. The room was very very neat and clean. I would highly recommend!!!
