We had a comfortable, delightful stay. Nancy and Richard were charming hosts, very knowledgeable, accommodating and helpful. We stayed 3 nights in the apartment and one in their home at the B&B and enjoyed all 4 nights. We also had a beautiful breakfast with them one morning and while we didn't participate in the animal feeding, we enjoyed everything about the property, including learning many things about planting, composting and the overall beauty. We will definitely plan to return and stay with them again. Highly recommend this property. Great location, close to dining options, grocery store and overall just beautiful landscape and countryside.

Coziest place ever!
Beautiful, cozy, perfect carriage house set on a farm. The open floor concept and high ceilings give this space a mountain lodge feel. We had a very restful stay! Netflix included 😊 The hosts are super friendly and caring. Can’t wait to come back to this place in the summer to see the garden and farm animals again.

Beautiful one room stay
We absolutely loved this room. Perfect for a small family or just 2 people. We went away for family time and all got to enjoy this place. The room was clean very well kept and Nancy and Richard were very nice and friendly. The kids really enjoyed feeding the animals and playing with the cats. They also enjoyed playing piano and guitar with Nancy and Richard. We would love to come back again!! There is also things to drive to that aren't too far of a drive. We visited the Eastland alpacas, went to shady maple area, kitchen kettle, and outlets

B&B on a small farm
We really enjoyed our time here---comfortable living space, opportunity for our son to interact with the goats and chickens and breakfast included freshly picked vegetables from the garden. We'd definitely come back and stay again. The studio apt. does have a set of stairs going up, a bit steep so I wouldn't recommend to someone with mobility issues. Nancy and Richard have rooms in their main house that might be better suited. Being in the separate apt was ideal for us traveling with our 3 year old.

Richard and I (Nancy) have been married for many years. We have 3 grown children (plus one who passed away) and 14 grandchildren. Richard's career was in maintenance management. He is super talented with tools, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, woodworking, and can fix just about anything. He is a musician who absolutely loves to be playing his guitars - in fact, this is his favorite thing to do. He also loves our animals and the farm!

I grew up with Grandparents who were farmers. I am a naturalist and have been gardening all my life! We don't use chemicals in our garden, so our vegetables are truly fresh and pure! I thoroughly enjoy being outside, working with the soil, or hiking, or walking in the woods, and spending time with our animals. My professional career was in Human Resource Management and working with people. I am also a musician and the Director of Music at a local church. I play the piano, the organ, and sing!!! Music is the universal language and speaks to everyone!

Richard and I both love to be with others and enjoy sharing our beautiful space with guests. Many people that have stayed here with us have become good friends. We are meant to be immersed in living. Loving life!

Why they chose this property

Our property is truly unique - not like any others. When you are here, it is your home - not just a space. We want you to feel like you belong. And we are glad to share our place with you. And our time!!!

What makes this property unique

Interacting with the animals, campfires, splashing in the stream, farm tours, classes in making pies and cheese (for a nominal fee), gardening, wildflowers, and nature talks. Beautiful flower and vegetable gardens. Meals (if arranged) made from fresh foods from the farm, homemade goat milk kefir! Or, plenty of places to see and do! 30 restaurants within 10-15 minutes drive! We are so close to SO many things! Reading 15 minutes. Lancaster 30 minutes. Hershey 45 minutes. Harrisburg 60 minutes.
