Photos and Description of the Bethany Beach vacation condo rental 2 Bedroom, 2 Bath, Sleeps 6-8

Ideally located in Dover House within the premier Sea Colony resort in the quiet beach town of Bethany Beach, Delaware. It is a two bedroom, two bath, oceanfront first-floor unit with a large ocean view patio opening onto the promenade of Sea Colony. Private beach, two outdoor pools, and an indoor pool with hot tub are only 'steps away.' Reserved parking included. The promenade location is ideally suited for families with small children and seniors. Our condo contains a master suite with a king bed, TV, private bath, and access to patio. Second bedroom contains two full beds, sleeping four, TV and is adjacent to the other full bath. The kitchen was completely renovated in 2007. Dining room table seats six comfortably. Living room has a large, circular sofa which holds a pull-out full bed, sleeping two. Entertainment units include three cable TVs, plus DVD/VCR's, and CD. Linens and towels are provided. Wi-fi Internet access is available (fee). Washer and dryer in condo.

With an additional recreation fee ($35 Peak Season/ $6 Off-season), all Sea Colony amenities are made available to renters, including indoor/outdoor pools and tennis facilities, fitness centers, spa/jacuzzi, game room, private and guarded ocean beach, biking trails and walking paths, and a free shuttle throughout the community.

Once you finish exploring those options, downtown Bethany Beach bandstand and boardwalk is within walking distance via beach or road. Quaint Bethany offers shopping, dining, and nightly boardwalk performers. Located three miles from Sea Colony is Carl M. Freeman's Bear Trap Dunes - recently voted 'Best Golf Course at the Beach.' Fishing, boat, bike and kayak rentals are available nearby. If you'd like to explore further, twenty minutes by car can take you to the boardwalk at Ocean City, MD or Rehoboth Beach, DE.

First Sighting is Deceptive

The Sea Colony buildings looked forbidding, as did the sombre front door. However, once inside the property, we found everything clean, comfortable and attractively furnished. The apartment was very well equipped. We enjoyed the beautiful views out over the dunes. We were disappointed when, immediately upon arrival, we were charged $10 per person for the use of the facilities - the very next day we found that the outdoor pools were closed for the season. This had not been made clear to us, or perhaps the small print was very small. However, the indoor pool was lovely. Warm, clean and well equipped, and with a lifeguard always in attendance. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, in spite of some bad weather.
