Why John Martin chose Lake Forest
Tahoe City is the best location in Tahoe. The Dollar Point and Skylandia Park shoreline face south looking back on the west shore and Tahoma. The beach has fine sand and full sun year round. The location does not get as much snow as the west shore in the winter and has more daylight. The location is close enough to Tahoe City that you avoid the summer traffic on Hwy 89 and the winter traffic on Hwy 28. It is also a reasonable distance along the north shore as far as the Nevada State Line. You will find that you want access to Tahoe City for events, shopping and services. It is a short drive to town.
What makes this house unique
The House has a nice view of the lake. Pictures never do it justice. In the summer the lake is a mosaic of blues and the breeze buffs the lake. The house is on the lakeside of the main road. This makes for a relatively easy walk down to the park and beach. We make the walk a couple of times a day with our dogs. The beach is beautiful especially early in the morning or in the evening. At night in the hot tub you can gaze at the stars and look at the lights on the West Shore. After a day at the lake it is still with you.
Guestbook comments from the owner
Highly recommended, a great house, great location and great owners to deal with!
Easy to find, well maintained and appointed with everything you could possibly need, quiet, warm and cozy throughout with a great Hot Tub.
We will definitely be back to stay at the Tahoe Mountain House on our next trip to the Northern Sierra's.
