Well the weather was wet and windy all week!! This might present a challenge with a group comprising three generations including 3 grandchildren aged 8 to 14 to keep entertained!
BUT - the house and surrounds were absolutely wonderful. The house is simply a delight with its historic character so well preserved yet with good bathrooms etc. and enough space to keep the children separated despite not being able to make use of the garden in the rain.
Inside it was like living in an art gallery with all the beautiful pictures.
The harbour outside is non-stop activity and there is so much to see in Hoorn and surrounding areas.
So it was voted by all to be a great holiday despite the weather.
A spacious and interesting property in an excellent location. Amsterdam, Haarlem, the coast and Islands are not too distant. Shopping and eating in Hoorn is very easy, with lots to choose from.
Loved Hoorn good food, friendly bars, consistently pretty buildings, easy travel to Amsterday or further afield.
We hadden een hele leuke vakantie in het Pakhuis. Het huis was groot en ruim. Voldoende kamers en goed ingericht. Alle materiaal was voorhanden. De ligging is prachtig met een mooi zicht op de drukke haven. Voor herhaling vatbaar!
