About The Owner

We hope you find our condo to be one of the best available! We take great pride in our unit as we are active owners/operators of our unit; rather than dealing with a property management company. This assures you get what you are paying for and then some!! We are fortunate to live a couple of blocks away so if there is anything you need during your stay, we are just a phone call away. ALL of our guests that have stayed in our unit have had favorable comments and experiences while utilizing our unit - we hope you will too!

We are also available for surf lessons, stand up paddle board lessons & kayak tours - if you are interested in learning more, don't hesitate to give us a call!!

Why The Owner chose Kihei

After living on Maui our first year we became familiar with Maui Sunset while taking walks in our neighborhood. We found that the property was the most beautifully well maintained condo resort in Kihei. Huge swimming pool, hot tub, and tennis courts right on the beach. Most people that have stayed at the Maui Sunset in the past return. It's kind of a secret spot and once you have found it, you will want to return often!!

What makes this condo unique

The best thing about Maui Sunset is the location. It is close to everything!!! Shopping and restaurants are only two blocks away. Also, you can surf, windsurf, kite, kayak, sup, shore fish, spear fish---you name it you can do it without ever hoping in the car or even putting on your shoes. Walk out the back lanai and the golf course quality grass will tell your feet that you have just stepped on a piece of heaven on earth.

We loved the condo, it has all the accomodations we could possible think of. The sunset and beach were beauitful. The property grounds were beautiful and very well kept. Would highly recommend to friends and family.

Nice location (sandy beach, snorkeling, surfing, Safeway, Starbucks, Blockbuster Videos, and farmers markets). Very well maintained facilities. You can walk to beach, bare feet, on a well manicured lawn. Make it easy to see sunset.

Condo is well equipped for vacationers, with coolers, boogie boards, floating noodles, beach towels, and golf balls. They even have cooking oil, spices and condiments.

We highly recommend it!

Perfect for us!

We thought this suite at the Maui Sunset was great! Had friends staying in other suites that weren't as well appointed as ours especially with respect to beach gear, coolers, etc. Both beds were very comfortable and we all had great sleeps. Yes the bathrooms are a bit dated, but it is not a brand new building and really not a big deal at all, all things considered. Paddle boarding right on the beach is amazing! Turtles, fish, etc. We will definitely be back!

One suggestion would be to add a more functional dresser/chest as we couldn't unpack for 2 adults and a child.

Upgrades required

We recently spent a week at this property. The location on the Kihei strip was fine. Close to shopping, beaches and dining. The unit itself inside is in need of upgrades. The bathrooms are tired, compact and in poor repair. The caulking was moldy and old. The bathroom fans were especially noisey and irritating. The kitchen was tired but functional. However, it would be nice if there were at least four wine glasses and salt and pepper shakers. Towels provided were old. On a bright note the bed in the masterbedroom was comfortable and provided a good night's sleep. The building ammenities were as posted. Checking in and out was easy. I found the unit it to be just okay in terms of cleanliness. Surfaces were tidy but dust bunnies and dirt were evident in the tile base boards. Coffee at Maui Coffee was great and just a short walk away.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing

Most visitors have found our unit to be one of the best values on the island, stocked with many more amenities than most. And in regards to the size of the bathrooms, that can't be changed; and the "tiredness" is part of the charm of Maui, its like stepping back in time. Our unit is directly in line with the market. Again, thank you for your comments.

Owners were great to deal with and the condo is awesome. The condo is loaded it has beach chairs, coolers, and beach toys for kids. The nicest unit I have stayed at in Maui Sunset. Lots of great restaurants close by or you can stay in the condo and cook. It's great if you have kids since its on the ground floor. The wind direction was perfect and we were luckily enough to kite several days from the beach there. I highly recommend it and cant wait to stay there again.
