Home by the lake!

As a family of 3 travelling from Ireland to the USA, we wanted to spend a relaxing few days in a log cabin beside a lake but when we arrived we found that we had booked a little home from home! This cabin was perfect in many ways, the stunning location, the cleanliness, the comfort, the ammenities, and ALL the little extras the owners had so carefully provided. We made full use of the kayaks, canoe and paddleboat and spent many hours fishing off the dock at the bottom of the garden catching Sunnies, Crappies, Wide-mouth Bass and even a 10ib Carp for good measure! The owners have created a real vacation "home" with everything supplied to make you feel right at home the minute you arrive! We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 days at the cabin in Sleepy Hollow Lake and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing break in a homely cabin by a lake.

The owners thought of every little detail. What a perfect vacation home. It was absolutely immaculate. It looked just like the pictures. We all enjoyed fishing and swimming off the dock and the daily paddle boat rides. The scenery was breathtaking. It was a terrific nature retreat. The golfing was pretty good too and not too far away. We enjoyed the beach and the pool. All the people in the community were so friendly and welcoming. We would highly recommend this wonderful log cabin on Sleep Hollow Lake. .. Perfect place to relax

From beginning to end, this rental was fantastic. My family of four has been renting a cabin on a lake for the last 6 years, and this was the first time we went back to the same place. The owners thought of everything, from amenities to water toys to labeled light switches!! It is the perfect vacation spot for a variety of interests. If you like to sit and relax, you can, but it is also perfect for a more active vacation, boating, fishing, hiking, etc. The cabin is clean, private, and well situated on the lake. My husband spent hours catching a football off of the dock! We also liked that we were close to several towns. We ate at the Stewart house, Yannis III and had ice cream in Catskill. We also enjoyed the local talent at Athens waterfront park. The owners are a pleasure to deal with and helpful with suggestions. We can't wait for next year!!

Family Wedding!

We called it "the lake house", the theme of the cabin is so fitting, on the lake, fishing, boating, swimming, and we did it all.,enjoying the most beautiful sunrises and spectacular sunsets. Even though I brought house items I believed we would want., the cabin amenities are above and beyond our needs. What a nice surprise! The highlight of our trip was a family wedding, but the gatherings/barbeques on the cabin decks will add to our wonderful memories. We thank-you, our children thank-you, our grandchildren thank you and all that came to visit while we were there thank you.
This was our first experience renting a lake cabin, the property is beautiful and the interior is so cozy, clean and oh so comfortable. It's unanimous, we highly recommend this lovely log home.
