A little slice of heaven in the Berkshires

My husband and I got married at Roughland Farm earlier this year and from start to finish, the experience was absolutely perfect. We found Roughland online and knew immediately that it could be an amazing location for our wedding. We contacted the owners and heard back right away from Claudia, who, every step along the was was helpful, flexible, kind and a pleasure to work with. We saw Roughland Farm for the first time in Dec 2008, and despite it being wintertime with frozen grounds and nothing in bloom we were taken aback by the true beauty of the Estate House, the rustic charm of the Farm House, and the sprawling grounds. The pictures online are beautiful, but nothing compared to seeing this place in person. We booked it right away, and from that moment on Claudia couldn't have been more helpful with suggestions for food (The John Andrews resturant did our catering, which was spectacular) vendors, music, and every other out of the blue request I came up with. We visited Roughland again in the springtime as we were getting closer to our June wedding, and with everything in full bloom it was even more breathtaking than we remembered. The week we spent there was simply incredible, with the houses and grounds well kept and beautifully decorated and limitless activities to keep us and our guests entertained. The pool and hot tub got a lot of use! My husband and I commented all throughout the week how lucky we were to have found such a perfect place to have our wedding. All of our guests fell in love with Roughland as much as we did, which made our wedding day even more special than we could have imagined.
