Hamblin Cottage is a small quaint cottage just outside town. Tucked away on a quiet road just a 15 minute to town and 5 minutes to Steps Beach, with a private deck for breakfast or cocktails in the evening. Entering the paneled living room over hobnailed floors is a walk back in time. A perfect place to sit back and relax is at the Portuguese tiled bar or the cozy red sofa. The bright airy bedroom upstairs with its pitched ceiling, queen sized bed and antique chests is a perfect place to snuggle down after a day of cycling or a day at the beach.

Walk or cycle to town for shopping, a casual lunch or fine dining in the evening. Or cycle or drive to Madaket or Eel Point for great fishing, kayaking or just watch the beautiful sunsets.

A wonderful place to stay

My boyfriend and I stayed at Hamblin Cottage for a week recently. We loved it. It is small, but perfectly fine for two people, clean, and very nicely decorated. It's walking/biking distance to town, so it's not right in the downtown chaos, which we loved, and accessible to bike paths, and to Jetties and Children's Beaches. It allowed us the proximity to town for delicious dinners and shopping, but the majority of days we rode bikes around the entire island to various beaches, the brewery, the farm, a golf course, and out to Madaket.
It was just a wonderful week, and the cottage was lovely. I highly recommend Hamblin to anyone looking for a quaint yet comfortable stay in a perfect location.
