We stayed in the house for 2 weeks in October 2014 and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our holiday. The property is of a very high standard and well laid out with spacious living areas, good sized bedrooms & bath/shower rooms and very comfortable beds. We made good use of the outside eating areas and brai, as well as the pool.
The whole area has a wonderful friendly & safe feel to it and the house has so much going for it, including the views from the sun deck, the sound of the sea, the proximity of the house to the beach & coastal path, 15 minute drive to Hermanus for whale watching, just over an hour's drive to Cape Town, Gondwana Game Reserve near Mossel Bay, not forgetting the pleasant walk along the coastal path to The Milkwood restaurant on the beach at Onrus.
Excellent service from the owner and the neighbours, who manage the property. Highly recommended.
We spent a week at the house in Vermont. It is such an attractive and comfortable house that we could have just relaxed there all week. But of course we would have missed out on its fascinating neighbourhood - the boutique wineries, the great restaurants in Hermanus and the Heaven and Earth Valley, the miles of beach to walk along, etc. We were not there in the whale season but that didn't matter at all - fewer tourists. From Hermanus you can get to Franschoek in a little over an hour or be more adventurous if you want. We didn't need to be. We were also very well looked after by the neighbours who manage the property.
We had a wonderful 2 week stay in the house. There were 6 adults and 2 children aged 19 months and 9 months. We all had plenty of space and privacy as well as plenty of space for us to all eat and sit together.
The outside spaces are fantastic with beautiful views out to the ocean. Lots of seating areas to relax and eat and a wonderful pool which we made use of everyday.
The kitchen has every bowl, glass and utensil that you will ever need! We made use of the maid service which we can highly recommend, Evelyn was very helpful and reliable.
The the house is decorated to the highest standard with all the facilities we needed, including two cots and a highchair.
We truly enjoyed our stay and would defiantly recommend the house as a perfect place to relax and enjoy the surrounding country. We could not have asked for a more helpful owner or local letting agent. We would like to thank you for a wonderful time and look forward to our next visit.
