Truro Cottage Rental Photos and Description
3 bdrms, 1 bath, sleeps 7
This historic Sears 'kit' house was assembled atop this dramatic coastal dune in 1902, just 7 feet from where the bluff slopes downward to the water. The cottage sits on an acre of waterfront land, which includes the beach itself, out to the furthest sand bar. The sun sets directly across the water from our deck and fireplaced dining and living rooms -- always a breathtaking show! We have an unobstructed 240-degree view of all of Cape Cod Bay and the entire outermost 'arm' of the Cape. At dusk, the lights of distant Provincetown appear on the horizon -- lights from Plymouth across the Bay twinkle all night. In the dark, the sound of waves lapping at shore below fill the cottage. If it's serenity and natural beauty you've come for, you'll find it here, day and night.

My husband compared the view from the Sears house to Southern coast of France. I guess we have found our new home away from home! The kids love the beach -- especially the sand flats when the tides out. Personally, I loved that we could toss the floats and pails and umbrellas into the shed at the end of he day.
We didn't go out to eat once -- we stayed put to grill out and dine on the deck and watch the sun set over the water.
Thanks for a terrific vacation, Jil.
Breathtakingly beautiful. I chose this spot because I am a landscape painter.
Stunning and peaceful, yet close by to theatre, galleries, drive-in movie theatre, gourmet restaurants, and shopping.
Best of all, we are a short bike ride to the National Seashore Park, the second most popular of the parks in the National Park system.
