Sanibel

The condo was beautiful. We did not eat in the room much but the kitchen had everything you could think of for food preparation. Great screened porch with a box full of sand toys, chairs and umbrellas. The property was being updated with some lovely new landscaping. (The only downside was that the trucks and equipment were outside our property) (Not really what we wanted to hear early on vacation.) The beach was nice. Not white fluffy Destin sands, but a unique blend of sand and shells. You can wade out for a long way off the beach and play in gentle waves. It was quite hot this time of year so, we mostly went to the beach and pool. But we also rented bikes.(A bit expensive) The trails are wonderful and really add to the Sanibel experience.
We went to Jerry's market for some of our food(nice bakery items). We also enjoyed RC Otters, MuckyDuck, and Keylime Bistro on Captiva; and Island Cow and Cheeburger, Cheeburger on Sanibel.
On our last evening there we found Bowmans Beach. It was a beautiful park and beach. I will head here first on another visit. We visited the nature center. Very neat place but wildlife is a little sparse this time of year.
Overall very good trip.
