Montserrat : Island was popular with the Jet setters in the 1980 and was home to the famous air studios. In the late 1980's the volcano grew and covered the city of Plymouth in ash. If possible try to arrange a tour of Plymouth to see the vacant city buried in ash. If you visit you must visit Rendezvous Beach with sugar white sand and coral for snorkeling . The beach is a tough walk over but worth it. The best places to dine are Ziggy's, Olveston House and the Royal Palm Club.
How to get there: Montserrat is accessed from Antigua with with a 15 minute flight on Fly Montserrat or SVG airline 2 hour ferry ride.

My son and I are in love with with this wonderful island. The Villa is comfortable, the people lovely and the place is incredible. We enjoyed JD,s bread a great deal, and The Attic had wonderful fish. But the quiet friendliness and-the -recharge-batteries pace of life are what really touched us.We are already planning a return one day.
