I love Paris and visit it at least twice each year. I am always on the lookout for a place that I can call home whilst there and I have finally found it!! This apartment came as a recommendation from a friend who had recently stayed there so I was keen to try it even though I normally stay in the 6 Arr.
It was everything my friend had told me about and more. Diana was very helpful in recommending some great restaurants in the area. Being a foodie and writing a food blog I was just very impressed with her recommendations.
The apartment is very comfortable and luxurious. It was difficult to pull myself out of the comfort of the bed on the rainy wintery days but the restaurants and the shopping were beckoning.
I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to visit Paris.
I fell like I have found my home away from home and will definitely be staying there for my future sojourns to Paris. I am already missing waking up to the sound of the church bells.
I have just returned from a week in this beautiful apartment and can only echo the sentiments of the previous reviews and confirm all the glowing praise that has already been attributed to this gorgeous property.
Even arriving on a cold, wet, grey November afternoon, the apartment looked magnificent, exactly as it appears in the photographs (only better!), and immaculately clean, fabulously warm (the central heating is amazing) and bathed in natural light.
I had a very warm welcome from Veronica, who helped me drag my very heavy suitcases up four flights of the narrow spiral staircase (charging up and down several times a day kept me very fit and probably saved me from putting on an extra kilo or two that week!), and explained how things worked, and pointed out some of the local attractions.
The location is superb; right in the heart of the 1er arrondissement, and only steps away from the most fabulous restaurants, bars, boutiques, a great little supermarket and wine store. You can literally be in the Tuileries gardens (and the Métro) within two minutes of walking out the front door! It is in a narrow, busy street, so there is a bit of noise when the windows are open, but you feel part of the action, and when the windows are closed, it is completely silent, ensuring a great night’s sleep.
No expense has been spared to make this an outstanding property, which has been beautifully renovated, retaining all the magnificent and charming period features, and successfully introducing all the best of modern comforts. Everything is pure quality; from the oak floorboards to the granite kitchen (including integrated fridge), luxurious white bed linen, fluffy white towels, and heated towel rails - it is first class all the way.
The apartment is wonderfully spacious and very thoughtfully designed, with the toilet and shower at one end of the apartment, and the romantic claw-footed bath in the dressing area behind the bed. There is ample storage for clothes (with top quality wooden coat-hangers), suitcases etc, so the apartment always looks neat.
Small touches like candles and stylish throw rugs were especially appreciated and made this really feel like a home away from home.
Dealing with Diana and Veronica was a dream; they were both extremely helpful at every step of the booking process and in Paris.
I had the most wonderful week in this gorgeous apartment, and can’t wait to return next year … in the summer and for longer!
My husband and our 13 year old grandson stayed in the apartment for 2 weeks. This was the perfect spot to either walk, metro, or catch a bike rental to visit other arridismonts. Being so close to the Tulleries Garden, we spent every evening for a walk through the park after se amazing restaurants right down the street. The apartment has all items one would need for a longer stay - comfortable beds, full kitchen, washer, bath and shower, and an air conditioner. The street at night was quiet enough to leave the windows open for a cool nights breeze. Veronica, thank you so much for this beautiful apartment which made our stay in Paris very memorable.
My brother and I with two 12-13 year old daughters met for a week here in Paris. We also rented the tiny studio on the top floor, but we were quite comfortable in the flat and only used the studio for showering and for the dads to get away in the evening for a quiet chat. The flat is on a quiet street, four stories up, and very well designed for a couple (if there are more than two, you should know each other well). The owner is a lovely lady who worked very hard to design the perfect living space in two rooms, with washing machine and small shower/toilet, lots of closet space, and a nice kitchen area which we never used. There are great boulangeries right around the corner, and a Starbucks is a block or two away. Plenty of great bistros, a wine shop, a grocery store are all in two minutes' walk. The Louvre, shopping on Rue St Honoré, and two metro stops close by make this a perfect place for a stay in Paris. Note that the studio is on the 6th floor (no elevator) and is really quite small; the photo of Sacré Coeur is from the studio window, and the next three photos are of this room; the flat is on the fourth floor so it's possible to rent both places and have two couples who get together for meals in the flat. The design of the space is superb and the owner has really done an excellent job of fitting the spaces out; great sheets, pillows, towels etc. Highly recommended (I hesitate to say too much because we plan to stay here again and I don't want too much competition!). Owner speaks English and Spanish and is very responsive by email. We had a super week!
This is a chic apartment in a great location. It has all the small luxuries of home with a great firm bed, nice bedding and towels. The tub was fantastic as well! The kitchen was decently equipped and efficiently designed. The decor is contemporary with elegant warmth. We had a great, comfortable stay and Veronica was very attentive. We will definitely book here again.
