Charming 1920's renovated cottage on private 300 acre Lake Garfield. 5 bedrooms and 2 baths leaves plenty of room for the whole family to visit! Stroll down to the lake and catch a fish from the well-stocked Lake Garfield off our dock. Take a canoe or kayak ride at sunset or relax in the large, bright family room equipped with a Satellite TV, high speed internet & DVD player. In addition, there is a large living room and dining room space with a charming old stone fireplace. The screened in porch is another great spot to relax...furnished with a table for 6 and a wicker seating area to enjoy the (winter) views of the lake, yard & perennial garden. The kitchen has a large eating island area brightly lit with skylights and stool seating for 5. The kitchen is equipped for every cooks needs...and plenty of cutlery & plates to feed a crowd! The large master bedroom is downstairs with four additional bedrooms upstairs.

Swim, fish, canoe or kayak off our dock and floating dock. One mile to Lake Garfield sandy beach. Short country drive to Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow, Shakespeare & Co. and all other Berkshire attractions. 10 minute drive to fabulous food & restaurants in Great Barrington. Monterey is home to the famous Monterey General Store which suits all your needs from great coffee & all newspapers in the morning, ice cream treat on a hot afternoon to a nice bottle of wine for the sunset over the lake. Monterey is also home to award winning Roberts Woods Farm with Icelandic horses available for riding lessons.

It's Always quiet and serene on Lake Garfield. The lake is over 300 acres but seems uninhabited! Everyone has loved our house...and our great town. We hope you will enjoy it as well!

Ski: Butternut is 10 minute drive from our house.
