I purchased the building in 2003 to live on Balboa Island. I have rented both units during some period, and have lived in the upper unit also. I love the open, light feeling of the upstairs and because I am on a corner, so it is bright and airy, and private unlike many of the homes on Balboa Island. I travel a great deal, and love coming back to 'paradise on the island'. It is a fun place to live, and because it is on the little island, it is quieter and more enjoyable to me then living on the big island. Come and experience life on Balboa!

I remodeled my happy home on Balboa last year, bringing in new furniture, refinished the floors, added new carpet this last fall and have enjoyed keeping it up to date with wireless internet and a big screen TV. The neighborhood is wonderful, and the people are friendly on the little island, and everyone is kind enough to offer help when needed. It is a great neighborhood atmosphere, and being only a block from the boardwalk, a good morning or evening walk is something I always look forward to, and always enjoy.
I rent by the week during the summer and for the full winter from Sept to May, and it seems to work really well. I have been very lucky to have wonderful guests who love coming back every year, so that makes it all worth while!
The privacy of living on little island, and the location, which is a corner location, is open, airy and bright. I do not enjoy living in a dark place, and so I have selected to live in a home that meets all my needs, and makes me enjoy coming home. I have been renting now for 5 years, off and on, sometimes living in it myself during the winter, and sometimes renting it. The neighbors downstairs have become great friends, so they help when something is needed, and that makes it easier for me to be away, and enjoy my time traveling. I travel mostly for business, so having wonderful neighbors makes it so delightful to have a place on little Balboa island.
We loved your Place!! We tried to leave a comment but had trouble because they kept telling me that my nickname had already been used. Not sure what happened, but we wanted to definitely let everyone know that it was a great place, we loved the little island, and we ar3 looking forward to returning again.
Sunbathing at the beach!! Surfing at Newport Beach's acclaimed 'Wedge'.Ferry ride to the waves and 'Fun Zone'.
Universal Studios. Beverly Hills, LAX and Sunset Strip only an hour away!! Fashion Island, very upscale shopping center, with top department stores and high end restaurants is only minutes away. The quaint town of Corona del Mar is minutes away and Laguna Beach is minutes down the road.
