Get away and relax at Cranford on the Miles, a piece of true Eastern shore elegance dating back to 1840. Tucked away on over 3 park-like acres, you’ll be enchanted by gorgeous broad water views. Sip coffee, have breakfast or evening drinks on your wrap-around screened waterside porch, which provides comfort and shade throughout the day. Let the children explore the treed expansive grounds, crab off the dock or take a family bike ride into the charming town of St. Michael's and sunbathe at the neighborhood Bay Hundred Pool. Later, gather in the gourmet kitchen to prepare a dinner of the fish and crab you caught on your private dock. Enjoy the many open family rooms and challenge the kids to one of the board games provided. For outdoor fun, try your hand at croquet or volleyball, or roast marshmallows over the fire pit. In the evening, open the sliders off the bedrooms and watch the stars from the two decks.

Nice house but leave it perfect to ensure deposit

The house was nice, but with an awkward layout (including the kitchen) so we didn't use many of the rooms. Also the check-in was a bit late and the check-out a bit early. It was a great house but if you rent it make sure you leave it PERFECT although the house wasn't very clean when we came in. Note that I did not get any of my security deposit back which I thought was an exageratted response for our circumstances. I'm not sure I recommend the house for families with small children or pets due to this.
Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to review my response. The house layout is very friendly particularly for families with children and pets, evidenced by the fact that I bought the house to vacation with my 3 boys and 2 dogs. The renter who submitted this negative review, my only in 3 years of rentals, broke a major term of their rental agreement, they smoked in the home which is a non-smoking home, leaving cigarette butts around the structure, putting the historical home at risk. And yes, they knew it was a non-smoking house because they were asked the question in person when they received the key. The check-in time of 4:00 and the check-out time of 11:00 is standard for the industry, but upon request, these times are flexible. All you have to do is ask and I will try to accommodate you.
