Our apartment has one double and one twin bedroom, a living room, a well equipped kitchen and a bathroom. There is a roof terrace with table and chairs and a stunning view of the village where you can sit to watch the sun setting with your evening drinks and an area for hanging out your washing. It is situated in the old part of the town and access from the street is via a charming tiled courtyard which is characteristically full of flowering plants and a sitting area. The apartment is on the second floor of the two-storey block of six. The area is extremely quiet and the only sounds we have heard in the mornings are the distant cocks crowing and the church bells. The apartment has two full length windows which makes it very light and airy. There is air conditioning and heating for use when needed.There is a music centre, DVD and Video with various CD's and DVD's. Maps and Guide books are also avaiable. There are body boards,mats,wind shelter and many other items for the beach.

Vejer is a small perfectly conserved historic hill town surrounded by beautiful countryside and beaches. Its steep, zigzagging streets, whitewashed houses and flower-laden balconies also hide internet cafes, hotels, guesthouses, shops and restaurants, cafes and galleries. You can spend many hours wandering through the narrow streets finding hidden gardens ,beautiful patios,and specutaular views across vast open land. A drink at the windmill bar to watch the sunset out towards the sea, so aptly called 'Bueno Vista' should not be missed.The coastline of Costa de la Luz covers miles and miles of spectacular white sandy beaches. It is within easy reach of several airports and places of interest. Cadiz,Seville,Gibraltar and Acros to name just a few. Bolonia, down the coast towards Tarifa has a Roman town over-looking the sea and spectacular birds of prey up in the hills. A day trip to Morrocco is also a very easy and exciting addition to any holiday.The food shopping in Vejer is excellent

  • The bathroom has a power shower in the bath with shower curtain. There is a heater which warms the room very quickly and effectively and an electric fan to help with steaming up. The bathroom is a good size and comfortable to use.

Bedroom 2 has twin beds and a built in wardrobe with shelving . There is a heater and fan. Extra sheets blankets and towels are also in the wardrobe. A cot is available which is stored in the wardrobe of this room. This room also has a double window with shutters.

Notes: There is various beach equipment in the apartment that can be used by guests, including body boards,spades ice packs and cooler, beach mats, chairs, umbrella and wind shield, balls and beach tennis. Beach towels are provided. There are many guide books and maps in the apartment which can be used . There are CD's and DVD's, novels and several games and jigsaw puzzles. There are many electric plugs for English equipment, mosquito plugs and a small sewing kit. A visitors book is in the sitting room ready for people's comments. We value your comments and any new ideas and places visited are always of great interest to us and of course to our other guests. We love the apartment and use it as often as possible. Therefore it is set up as our home with many personal items we have collected on our visits. They are all there for you to share and enjoy but also to look after. We need to be told please of any breakages.

General Information: From Vejer it is easy to visit many other beautiful and well-known areas. You can fly into Jerez airport and be in Vejer within forty minutes. The roads have good clear signs and are all of good quality. Gibraltar, Seville and Malaga are all within 2hrs drive from Vejer and any of these trips are a great way to start your exploration of this exciting area of southern Spain. The white towns are all within easy reach and Granada is only about 5hrs drive. A day trip to Morocco is very easy, it takes 40 minutes to drive to Tarifa where you take a 40 minutes boat trip to another exciting continent. It is a very easy and fast drive to Jerez, Cadiz and Seville, all extremely interesting towns with many historic places of interest to visit. Driving out past the spectacular white town of Arcos de la Frontera towards the mountains, you will see many beautiful villages such as El Bosque and Grazelema with clear views and snow in winter months.

Things to Do: The area is renowned for great windsurfing, body boarding and kite surfing. There are great opportunities for whale watching excursions at Tarifa, with guaranteed sightings of a variety of species of these enchanting mammals. The bird watching is very good and the area is wonderful for walkers. There are several national parks that are very well kept. The coastline is used by many for strolling as well as serious walking. Jerez is the home of Flamenco and of course the Bodagas to visit for those who enjoy sherry and wines. There are many horse riding centres nearby and you will often see groups riding along the beaches. In Vejer there is a centre where you can organise bikes for hire, Kayaking, walking groups with others who are keen to explore and many other group and individual activities.

Advice on Flights and Car Hire: As we have been travelling to Vejer regularly for the past 3 years, we have worked out ways to find good prices and deals.So please contact us if you need any help. Ryanair fly into Jerez and Seville Easyjet into Malaga and Monarch go to Gibalatar . We have a very good contact for car hire that is slightly cheaper than going through the internet. The roads throughout the area are excellent and really empty so it very easy to travel around.

Golf: There are several good golf courses within easy reach of Vejer .

Thank you so much for letting us use the apartment. We arrived for Semona Santa which was extraordinary. Processions, parties, bull run !

A very interesting place lots of history making day trips enjoyable.

What a lovely part of Spain .We will definitely come back.

Vejer has provided a stunning backdrop to our days at the beach and our evenings drinking beer and wine on the roof and in the squares.

We seem to discover new parts of town every time we went for a wander and I am sure the same will happen next time we come back.

Excellent apartment –catered for all our needs –and beautifully clean. Vejer magical, and more surprises round every corner.

Had a relaxing, sun-filled week! Explored nearby beaches, El Palmar, Los Canos, Conil and Conil nearer the Cape Trafalgar. All very different and lots of fun.

Enjoyed buying fresh fish and veg at the market to cook in the apartment well equipped kitchen.

A lovely apartment in a beautiful town with a great location.
Apartment is the owner's own, so is well stocked with all you could want for a holiday - guide and travel books, the owner's notes, beach gear, kitchen equipment, etc.
The apartment is in the middle of the old town, with several nice small bars, restaurants, local shops, market, and bakeries within literally 1 or 2 minutes walk.
However, it's set at the back of the building, so is quiet (not that the town itself is particularly noisy in any case). Also, has a nice roof terrace for dinner or a drink at sunset,
Vejer itself is very well located for touring SW Anfalucia - some great beaches, national parks, and cities (Cadiz, Tarifa) close by.
