Photos and Description of the Plum Island vacation house rental 3 bedrooms, 1 den with bed sleeps 6-8, one full bathroom

Situated on a tidal basin with water for swimming, boating, canoeing and other water sports, it is also a birder's paradise on one of the east coast's best birding locations. A very short walk to one of the most beautiful beaches on the east coast, this fully equipped house is on a very quiet dead-end street with water at its edge. And close to Newburyport with its shops, restaurants, activities and whale watches. Two bedrooms have air conditioners, the others have ceiling fans. Large deck with two smaller porches. Sit in the living room and watch fireworks some nights from Salisbury. Friendly neighborhood not subject to summer traffic.

Nearest Airport: Boston, Logan at 40 Miles
Nearest Train: Newburyport, ma at 3 Miles
Nearest Motorway: Rt 95 at 7 Miles
Nearest Beach: beach at 0.1 Miles
Close to Newburyport with its restaurants, movie theaters, art center and galleries, bookstores, and many summer festivals. Maudsley State Park borders the Merrimac River, has hiking trails and summer theater. There are whale watches and deep sea fishing, and Plum Island's Parker River Preserve is a prime bird watching area on the coast with a new Audubon Center here. There are activities for all interests and events as well. Boston is close and a train ride away. So is lobster eating in Maine. Prime spot for a vacation.

Relaxing vacation home

Enjoyed a relaxing 5 days. The cottage is quaint and beautiful and full of light, it looks over the basin and has easy access to a private beach. The lack of internet or TV was an added bonus for us. The only disadvantage was a single bathroom, so although spacious and roomy, best suited for 3-4 people. Would definitely go back again.

Great Vacation Home

We enjoyed a great vacation on Plum Island. It did rain quite a bit, but the home was warm and comfortable. The views were incredible. It was a home without outside influences such as TV. We spent some memorable time with our granddaughter and a peaceful week. Would reccommend this home to families or couples. Very quaint and the people around the area very friendly.
