We absolutely fell in love with the charm of this little White Mountain Cabin. We enjoy sharing our special family getaway with our guests and are fortunate to have the very best housekeeper to keep everything sparkling clean!
Karin Trachtenberg purchased this cabin in 2005
Guests enjoy this simple little cabin for it's rustic appeal. The White Mountains offer world class hiking and beautiful vistas for everyone - from short easy hikes to back country. There is no shortage of activities in every season!
The cabin is perfectly situated for privacy and seclusion, yet not remote everything you need is within is 15 minute drive. The private, outdoor hot tub and woodburning fireplace completes the White Mountain experience!
From arriving to leaving, the place beat expectations. The house was easy to find. The hot tub was amazingly easy to operate and was in great repair. The beds were comfortable. The house was plenty warm and had no drafts that I could tell. The kitchen was well stocked with all necessary cooking utensils. The fireplace was easy to use and the board game and VHS collection was plenty for passing time at night.
The outside was well maintained and lighting was good. We will definitely return and also recommend this place to our friends for winter weekends.
Karin was also very pleasant and prompt in all communications. I recommend booking early, as it fills up fast.
My husband and I have now stayed at the Cozy Cabin 3 times in the past year, winter, spring and fall - all the seasons are beautiful and different. The cabin is exactly as described and pictured, in fact it's even better. Karin, the owner is very attentive and organized and, Deb, the caretaker in NH keeps the cabin extremely clean. The cabin is well equipped and situated in a completely private yard. The hot tub under the stars is sparkling clean and wonderful in all seasons! There's lots to do in the area, with all White Mountain attractions (and Vermont) being within driving distance. Sugar Hill / Franconia and Littleton are close with many restaurant and shopping options. The Cozy Cabin is highly recommended!
This cabin is absolutely hands down the best place we have ever stayed! It is so close to everything you would need, yet it is nestled in such an area where you feel totally secluded! The inside of the cabin had plenty of room for the 2 of us and our dog. You get that "cozy" feeling just walking in the door. The fire place put off some really nice heat, especially when it was -21 outside! The hot tub by far was by favorite spot! Here are some recommendations for anyone planning on staying here:
* There are plenty of stores, including Walmart & Shaw's grocery store 10 min down the road
* The Little Grille at the Depot in Littleton had wonderful food for a reasonable price and they are located in an old train station, which gives it such a quaint atmosphere
* If you are looking to do any snowmobiling, I'd highly recommend Northern Extremes Snowmobiling in Bretton Woods. They are located on Rt302 - head East from the cabin for about 35 min. You can do guided tours or rent a sled and go on your own. Very reasonable prices and great people!
* There is access to the local rail trail right in Lisbon behind the old train station. It's only a short drive from the cabin and offers a nice walk.
I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a place to stay on the White Mountains and I know that I will definitely be back!!
Perfect little cabin in the woods. Exactly what you'd expect from the description and pictures. Karin was so helpful in making the arrival as easy and smooth as possible and the cabin has many helpful guides for whatever it is you're looking for. The cabin itself is very clean and organized and the fireplace makes a cozy atmosphere. We will definitely be back!
This is the second time my wife and I have stayed here (the first time was a couple years ago when I proposed to her!). This is a wonderful little cabin in a nice private area. The hot tub is enjoyable with a nice view and is open year round. It's a short drive from Littleton which has a nice downtown with plenty of good restaurants to try. Both times we've stayed we have found the cabin to be clean and accommodating, with a decent sized Kitchen, and a TV with Satellite and a DVD/VCR.
We highly recommend this cabin to anyone wanting to have a nice peaceful vacation, or a romantic getaway. It certainly is cozy, and there's nothing wrong with that!
This was the most recent stay, but we've been here about 5/6 times before. This is the PERFECT getaway. Whether you are interested in hiking and spending time with nature or just relaxing in a hot tub with the sounds of birds chirping (or snow falling) and no cell phone reception -- this is the place to be. Don't forget coming home to a fireplace. The home and hot tub are always immaculate upon arrival ... you would never know that this house allows pets! Karin, the owner, is really professional, quick to respond, and always treats us super well. The house itself is surrounded by trees and has a ton of privacy, it is easy to get to, and it is conveniently located near necessity stores (food, clothing, miscellaneous) as well as SO many things to do: The White Mountains (endless possibilities there), Mount Washington, Conway, Littleton, The Kancamagus Highway, and the Flume Gorge just to name a few. Get massages here: Moondance Massage. Eat here: White Mountain Bagel Co / Littleton Bagel Depot. Staying in the White Mountain area? STAY HERE!
This was our third stay at Cozy Cabin and the first with good weather. We did not need good weather to enjoy past trips to Cozy Cabin but the sun and warm temperatures helped us to enjoy the surrounding White Mountains. Cruising Rte 302 and the Kangamagus in an open convertible is such a joy when it's sunny and warm. Cool spring nights make the hot tub an incredible experience. As in the past the cabin was clean and comfortable. We opted for a three night stay this time, highly recommended! (two nights were not enough). We will return soon.
Only 12 miles from Franconia Notch State Park/Cannon Mountain, Lisbon is convenient to all that the White Mountains has to offer. Hiking, cross-country and downhill ski areas, extensive snowmobile trail system, ice skating, swimming and fishing in ponds, lakes and rivers. Golfing right next door at the Lisbon Country Club or the fabulous views of The Sunset Hill Golf Club. Nearby Littleton, named the '9th Best Small Town in America' has an historic downtown with shopping, antiques, restaurants, arts, theater.
Other Activities: snowshoeing, snowmobiling, sledding, sleigh rides
