About Captain Ergun Dundar
We are a family owned business. We don't use expensive marketing strategies, make exaggerated claims, or offer an impersonal service. In fact, we pride ourselves on giving our customers a unique, customised cruise experience that is unparalleled in the market place; when it comes to crewed boat rental in Turkey, we believe that we've got the edge.
Both my wife and I are avid fans of travelling and are always excited to meet new people; first and foremost, we love making new friends and we are both adventurous souls.
My love affair with the ocean began almost a decade ago, during my studies, when I was entrusted to run the family boat during the summers between University years, largely offering private boat tours in Kas.
Upon graduating, with an economics degree, I was faced with the not so straightforward task of deciding what to do with my life. While my friends were all attracted to high paying office jobs, my summers spent running boat trips in Kas had had a deep and telling impact on my internal dialogue.
Rather than taking the traditional path into employment, I decided to follow my heart and continue to run the family boat, full time. It was a decision that I didn't take lightly, but it's certainly one that I feel thankful that I made, each and every day.
My wife, who also owns a Seaman's license, shares my passion for adventure and is a valuable member of our team. Like most Turkish women, she's an exceptional cook, who is able to create the most sumptuous of dishes, from the most basic of produce. I don't know how the business would run without her; our boat trips in Kas just wouldn't be the same.
My wife and I run boat trips in Kas during the summer months, spending the winters travelling the world. It's been a long, hard road, building our business together, but we believe that our passion is what has got us this far. And we don't intend on stopping anytime soon.

What makes this yacht unique
Food and beverages
Captain Ergun’s wife will be the head chef on-board during your trip with us. She prepares exquisite and inventive meals, three times each day, for guests, using locally sourced, fresh ingredients, packed with flavour, as only the Turkish know how.
In addition to feasting on delectable fare, your holiday also includes free tea, coffee, wine, water and beer, to accompany your meals.
The crew aboard our vessels is made up of a team of four, led by the highly experienced Captain Ergun.
Captain Ergun’s knowledge of the Turkish Riviera is unparalleled, and he and his team will ensure that your trip takes in all of the very best that the region has to offer, leaving you free to sit back, relax, and soak in the majesty of the surroundings.
Fun and games
When it comes to keeping you and your fellow passengers entertained, there is no shortage of toys onboard any of our vessels.
We provide guests with access to sea scooters, underwater cameras, kayaks, and tubes, as well as all the equipment required for our snorkelling tours. In addition, for an additional fee of 20€ for 15 minutes, guests can enjoy the adrenaline filled experience of water skiing.
If that’s not enough, Captain Ergun will be happy to arrange scuba diving and parasailing lessons on your behalf, locally. If you’ve always fancied giving a specific water sport a try, and we haven’t covered it here, don’t be afraid to ask, and we’ll see what we can do.
Getting hands on
All of our vessels have their own sails and, while we often rely on the power of our motors to cruise through the Turkish Riviera, we do tend to unfasten the sails on occasion. Whether you’re an experienced sailor or an utter novice, our crew would be more than happy to let you get a feel for what real sailing is all about; just ask if you’d like to get a little more hands on during your trip.
Guestbook comments from the manager
We were a group of 7 friends from New Zealand who happened across a review introducing us to Captain Ergun and his chef extraordinaire wife Merve. We spent 4 nights on their fabulous gulet Evita as we cruised the Turquoise Coast. From beginning to end - we were awed, we laughed, we sang, we swum, snorkled, kyacked, sea scootered, videoed each other on the gulet GoPro underwater camera, paddle boarded, ate banquets for breakfast lunch and dinner. We all agreed this was the 'time of our lives!'. We snorkled and explored sunken villages and ruins (those that we were permitted - some are protected - rightly so) , we wandered the shores and were amongst ancient ruins of many civilizations including walking a portion of the Lycian Way. We visited working fishing villages and spent time chatting to the locals, purchasing their wares and handcrafts. The sights and experiences were extraordiary.
Captain Ergun said "Trust me - I can create a cruise itinerary incorporating all the things you want to explore and visit, sights you want to see'. And he did. From quiet milk pond smooth bays where we anchored for the night - to spectacular coastline where we snorkled and dived, swum amongst the ruins of ancient civilizations. Their amphora and pots, stairways, walls and pottery are everywhere and we felt privileged to be able to be right there - amongst it all. Not touching - just intoxicated by the opportunity to be part of this magical coast for four days.
We dived to view a sunken plane, and watched as Captain Ergun free dived into a deep hollow - until he was out of sight. I hope to upload the video.
Evita is a beautiful boat - with three double cabins - each with ensuite. Woodgrain and quality fittings throughout. However most people prefer to sleep on deck on very comfortable mattresses made for the purpose. We went to sleep each evening - looking up to the stars and watching the day dawn each morning. Arising to a wonderful breakfast prepared by Merve - Captain Ergun's wife. Lunch and dinner are banquets of traditional and superb Turkish cuisine.
I extensively researched the many gulets on offer. There were many reasons we chose Ctpn Ergun's gulet: The wonderful reviews (#1 on Trip Advisor of all things to do in Kas). We wanted to charter a cruise for only our group. The price was excellent. Captn Ergun not only worked with me to create a brilliant itinerary, but the additional opportunities he offers with his boat make this what we all believe to be the be
