Wonderful time!!

Review Submitted: April 1, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2007
Hi Marlene, it's Mary Ellen & Larry. We are leaving today on Larry's birthday. Our kids could not make it up, but my sister, Carol and her husband enjoyed our trip. The four of us had a wonderful time. We went to Maggie Valley Pizza, Waynesville shopping, Dillsboro on the train to Bryson. We ate here and used grill, had a great time watching the hummingbirds and filled them both up again. My sister sat in your creek and got tons of pictures.

The maintenance man came while we were gone and put stuff down and fixed the faucet and all went well. We had a fire and made pies on it, my brother-in-law is a good cook. No kids so did not go in playroom at all.

Thanks again, & we hope to return if my health holds up. My sister loved it here too! Talk soon!

Mary Ellen and Larry B.
& Yes, it's God's country up here. So beautiful and relaxing with the creek.

Marlene,
I have misplaced your address so that's why I'm writing you here, I need to send you the key back and would appreciate getting your address so that I can.
We had a wonderful time at the cabin. It was nice weather. We ventured to Piegon Forge and ate dinner at the Old Mill Restaurant. I highly recommnend this restaurant it was fabulous. I know it's a bit of a ride but well worth it. We did not get to go to Ghost Town because we were having so much fun especially in the hot tub.
Thanks again for a wonderful vacation.

Owner's Response: May God be with your brother, you and the rest of your family! Moose Creek Lodge is a very special place for us as well. We chose this cabin after years of visits to the mountains, knowing what we would like in a vacation home in the mountains. I'm very happy that your family was able to find peace in our cabin. Take care and God bless! Marlene

Dear Marlene,
This was our first trip to Moose Creek Lodge and our very first family vacation. My sister and brother in-law came in from Mississippi, my brother from South Carolina, me and my parents from South Carolina and of course Duncan our 5 year old Westie. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your home. We had the most wonderful time ever. We got in the hot tub and my sister in-law says she laughed so much her ribs hurt! It wa so relaxing, peaceful and serene.
We had a rainy day on Sunday but we stayed in the Lodge and watched some old movies and drank coffee.
It was nice having everything right there. We had a nice cook put on Friday night and went to J. Arthur's for dinner on Saturday night.
My family wants to reserve the Lodge again for next year except this time we want to come in the summertime so we can get out and explore the creeks and waterfalls closely.
Thank you again for your hospitality. It was GREAT!
Shirley, Mom, Dad, Danny, Debbie, Judy, Barry and Duncan.
PS Duncan says "thank you for letting me come with my family I had a great time."

This cabin is beautiful, very clean and well equipped. The view is beautiful and the stream with waterfall was incredibly relaxing. We built a bonfire and made s'mores. I loved just sitting on the porch reading a book and listening to the waterfall. The kids had a great time in the playroom. We had such a great time, we plan to do it again next year. It was definitely a home away from home. Thanks!
