Affordable Winter RentalIncludes All Utilities (heat,electric,cable.) Oct.-May. This Clean, Charming Condo is located on a bus route so that an easy commute to work in Portland and South Portland It is located across the street from the best sandy beach in Maine where you can manage the stress in your life and get exercise. You can see the rocky coastline from this seven mile long beach which is bounded by the Scarborough River and the Saco River.There are two bedrooms upstairs with ocean views and a half-bath as well. Original wainscoting graces the walls and ceiling here. While downstairs there is a full bath, a living room with a wall of books - your own private library - and dining room and kitchen. Children's videos, games and books make this an easy place for the youngsters too.It is a quiet neighborhood where you can put up your feet and relax. Successfully rented every year since 1986.

Pine Point is near Portland which is the largest city in Maine. Within a mile or two of the house there are amusement parks, arcades, and water slides as well as an Audubon center where you may rent canoes and explore the largest marsh in the state. This area draws many kayakers and those who love to watch shorebirds - egrets, sandpipers, killdeer, plovers, and terns. Many renters bring along bikes to enjoy on quiet streets and dirt roads.There are many golf courses nearby not to mention movie theaters, harness racing, and auto racing. Close by is Ocean Park which is a Chattauqua community hosting world famous speakers and providing cultural activities which include musical, visual arts and crafts. It is a 20 minute drive to the Portland Museum, Children's Museum, the Old Port with its many shops and restaurants, the Portland Lighthouse, and ferry tours of Casco Bay. Want to go on a whale watch? In addition there is a large mall located near the airport.

Easy Commute - Relaxing Environment: The owner lives on the other side of this large year-round home and will help you with directions and ideas to help you get settled. We have enjoyed our tenants since 1982 when we moved to Maine from Massachusetts. Pine Point is close to everything and yet an oasis from the rest of the world as it offers the beach to help unwind. If you have time then you might head north another 15 minutes, and you will be in Freeport which is home of L.L. Bean and many outlet stores. Within 40 minutes you can enjoy more shopping in the Kittery Outlet Stores or explore Kennebunkport Village. The White Mountains of New Hampshire are one hour away. There is something for everyone.

Other Activities: walking/biking on the Eastern Trail,Kayaking, canoing, amusement parks, theatres

The owners were very kind and courteous. Although they live on site, they gave us our space and they were available to us if we needed any help/suggestions. The home was clean and comfortable. The two bedrooms were upstairs and they were very cute. There was a bathroom on each floor which was great!
Although the kitchen is small it certainly served it's purpose.
The only complaint I would have is that the tv had so few channels. That made rainy days a little more challenging with the kids.
But a vacation in beautiful Maine is NOT about tv - it's all about the beach and ocean.
The location of this home is incredible. It is a stone's throw from the beach and a quiet part of the beach at that.
You could not have asked for better! ! It is so convenient.
The price of this home is fabulous for all that it offers.
Definitly a home that we plan to return to soon.
Recommended for:  Tourists without a Car, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
Owner's Response: Our Guests are most kind and courteous. Each year when they return we enjoy seeing the changes in the children as they grow up. We enjoy welcoming guests to Maine and helping to make their vacations fun and memorable. We will be adding more children's video materials to the library of books and DVDs available for viewing.
