Ocean Front: Panoramic vistas of islands, lighthouses, wildlife & yachts from the house or from the shore. Watch windjammers, cruise boats, sail boats, lobster boats, the occasional naval warship. The surf will really crash on the ledges in a good storm. Camp 34 is a true shingle style summer cottage built in 1900. The walls are open to the outside sheathing. The living room/dinning room walls & ceiling have been marvelously varnished. This also applies to the downstairs bedroom & the kitchen. Naturally the living room has a cozy fireplace & for the really chilly days there is baseboard heat. Also on the first floor is a bath with shower. Upstairs are four bedrooms, a bath with a large tub. The smallest bedroom is only large enough for a bed. All told there are two full beds, one upstairs & one down, and four twin beds. The kitchen is very large with a range, refrigerator, microwave, and plenty of pots & pans & china & other equipment

The house is located on the southern end of Ocean Point overlooking the entrance to Boothbay Harbor. There are great views from the house of Ram Island Lighthouse, Fisherman's Island, Damariscove, The Cuckolds, Seguin, Outer Herron, Squirel Island, & Monhegan. Summer residences on Ocean Point date back to about 1870. The community amenities include a 'Casino' (no gambling included) with three tennis courts (fees extra), a ball field with Sunday softball game after church. A non denominational chapel, a town dock, a somewhat rocky beach at Grimes Cove. Shore Road on which Camp 34 is located, runs the perimeter of Ocean Point & is great for walking, roller blading, biking, & viewing sunsets. Boothbay Harbor is somewhat touristy but there are some interesting short excursions by boat that originate there. Fifth room with single bed is only suitable for child. Must climb over head of bed. The bed literally fills the room. No dresser or chair in this room. You will need to bring your own sheets & towels.

Notes: 2 full, 4 twins. Baseboard heat in living room and upstairs bath. Bath upstairs has large claw foot tub in which you can really stretch out. Downstairs bath has a shower. Private ocean front lot with large grass terrace for picnics as well as a sand terrace for sun bathing. Impressive granite ledges upon which the sea crashes during the big storms. There is a folding 'gazebo' awning/tent that can be erected for extra shade on the shore lot. This must be taken down in strong wind conditions. There is also an assortment of tables & benches & lawn chairs. Wireless Internet was also available last year at the 'Casino' for no charge: easy walking distance.

The kitchen was remodeled in 1974 & includes a small office nook. The refrigerator was new in 2002. There is no dishwasher or garbage disposal. The dining table has leaves with seating for nine. There is no clothes washer but there is a high-tech clothes line off the back porch for drying swimming suits etc. It utilizes sun & wind power. Coin operated & wash & fold service laundry is available in town. The front porch is very spacious & is great for lunch on hot, sunny days or cocktails in the evening. Across the town road is a large private shore lot on the open ocean with trees, a grassy terrace, a sand terrace & lots of ledges, great for picnics or sunbathing. Parking is available for two cars. Odds & ends: a charcoal grill. Furnishings throughout are generally antique. There is a TV & DVD but no cable (who needs it:you're on Ocean Point). Free Wireless internet is available at the Casino (local community center).
