lovely secluded location, however the property maintenance was not as described and hopefully the roof doesn't leak or the dishwasher breaks because you may have to cover the bill. Not very easy to discuss issues with the owner. But a nice location overall.

Owner's Response: There is no maintenance issue here. This is about responsibility for damage. These tenants damaged a large landscape print by Monet. Their accounts of what happened did not match up and while we were not eyewitnesses to the event, we feel, as do the frame shop professionals, they took the painting off the wall and then rehung it incorrectly, using only one of the two hooks to hang it back up. We had hung it on two 50 lb. hooks. One hook remained intact in the wall and showed no damage, and the other was ripped out of the wall and bent. The glass on the painting was broken and the frame corners jarred apart. This is the first time in five years of renting that we have withheld any money from a security deposit. The exact repair amount was withheld and a copy of the shop's bill included with the balance of the deposit.
