Hale Alealea Beach House, TVNC #1006, is one house back from Kepuhi Beach. Our house is situated in a rural neighborhood made up of unique, well manicured homes. Our yard is fully fenced, and an enormous plumeria trees graces the entrance to the house. The garden is full of flowering tropical plants and banana trees. The beach is easily accessed by several walking easements, just a moments' stroll from the house along our gravel lane. Tunnels beach and reefs are only a 15 minute walk away.
This bright and airy house offers two bedroom suites each with their own private bathrooms, plus another bedroom with twin beds, making it a great house for a family or a vacation shared by friends. The main level of the house house is upstairs and enjoys branch framed views of the ocean and the trade breezes. The kitchen is spacious and the large wrap-around lanai provides plenty of dining space. The Shama Thrush and geckos serenade every evening.
At Kepuhi beach, look to the left and see the kite boarders setting up. You will love watching their colorful kites and daring, acrobatics in the surf. Haena is one of Kauai's true tropical treasures. Down the beach is Tunnels where the reefs are home to a variety of tropical fish and green sea turtles. There is seasonal whale watching from shore and great surfing. At Hale Alealea you are a short distance from Ke'e beach and the epic Napali Coast.
You are 10-minutes from historic Hanalei Village where you will find great restaurants and unique boutiques for shopping. You can make plans for any Kauai adventure in Hanalei. A 15-minute drive will have you in Princeville with its great golf, horseback riding, spa, zip-line tours and so much more.
Our family has enjoyed living in Haena for the past five years. We spend the summers in California catching up with family and friends before the Hanalei school year starts up again. Obligations on the mainland keep us away this year and so our house is available for you to enjoy!
We love the remote, rural beauty of the North Shore. The beaches in front of our home are so quiet and stunning, and we have easy access to Tunnels Beach for the world class surf. The scenery along the winding road out to Haena is breath taking.
Checking the surf each morning with a cup of coffee in hand, followed by a walk around the garden is a great start to a day. There at the house it is so calm and private- yet you feel the rest of island calling with its adventures, whenever you are ready to go!
