Sitting on the dock of the bay!

This property is simply wonderful. The home is spacious and well appointed, with comfortable beds, and updated amenities. There is a full wall of sliding glass doors that open completely onto the back veranda, leading to the sandy back garden and your own private dock with boat ramp. (We brought our wave runners.) A juvenile manatee swims into the bay past your dock every morning....wow, quite a site to seee. I must admit that we were somewhat skeptical when the directions had us turning off the main Hwy and heading down a gravel road behind the local paint store to get to the house. But our concerns were quickly forgotten - once you're at the house, you are in your own little paradise. It's completely quiet and serene, yet you're close to everything - stores and marinas and restaurants and anything else you could want or need. We vacationed here for a week with two families - 6 adults and three children. We all fit fine however, I wouldn't recommend trying to squeeze in any more than 6 adults if you want your privacy. Up to 4 additional children can sleep in the loft area. My one complaint about this house is that I would have preferred more comfortable furniture in the living room. The ratan sofa and chair are better suited for porch lounging, in my opinion, than TV watching, and there is not enough furniture for more than 5 people to sit together in that room. Overall - the place is great - and we'll be back!
