BEACHFRONT TROPICAL DREAM HOUSE!!

This may be the best beach location in Kauai. Nice breezes, gorgeous sand, spectacular view you can't take your eyes off, privacy... I spent a week with family and friends and the property worked perfectly. Lots of space for all six of us to spread out without feeling like there was too much room. It seemed as through the house had a recent cosmetic overhaul, as many of the materials appeared new, which was nice. As well, the interior decoration was surprisingly tasteful and made for nice hanging out inside. The deck in front is amazing--a perfect place to hang out and watch the ocean. The kitchen is big, well-stocked, and fairly pleasant as far as rental kitchens go.

I considered a number of rental properties in the area, and having now been to the North Shore and seen the other options, can safely say this was absolutely the right spot for us. Some of the competing properties in the same (fairly hefty) price range appeared a bit rough around the edges, some set way back in the trees, a little jungly.

A few small things hardly worth noting, but might prove mildly annoying to some: the lower floor hallway and adjoining areas had (until aired out) a slight musty smell--I think from some of the reclaimed wood pieces used to furnish the house--the main shower didn't have a soap holder, the knob for the outdoor foot shower was rusted so rust ended up on hands sometimes, and the main entrance to the beach is through the bathroom downstairs. These things really didn't bother us at all, but want to be comprehensive about the criticism.

The house is a very basic two-level design--tasteful, but nothing Earth shattering or overly-luxurious. Very functional with nice decorative details. Nice bedding!

I should also mention how nice and responsive the property managers are. they stopped by to make sure things were as we hoped and responded right away when needed.

I would absolutely stay here again and I'm hesitant to write more for fear of ruining the secret.
