A little piece of heaven!

We have stayed at SeaLoft several times over the past few years, and always leave wishing we could stay forever! We have made the trip a few tines for just a romantic time away, another one with the kids, and last spring it was the girls getaway! No matter what you are looking for, the place is perfect. The house is always clean and comfortable, with all the little things that make your stay more enjoyable. I love the fact that it is right on the beach, but away from the crowds of the more well known beaches! The view from the porch is awesome, and the closed in porch is perfect on the cooler days, still a full view of the ocean but an escape from the wind. At night, the stars are beautiful, and the you can see the lights from the freighters crossing and the lighthouses shining. We tend to stay more in the off season, so the fireplace is perfect on a chilly evening. Internet is a big advantage to keep in touch at home. Washer and dryer is a big plus! Cable tv is nice, if you can tear yourself away from watching the waves. It is a perfect place to recharge, just walking on the beach and relaxing on the porch. We find ourselves spending many of the days just staying at the cottage and enjoying the quiet time, but there are plenty of things to do just a short ride away. The town of Lewes is the first stop, lots of history and quaint shops. There are plenty of charter boats in Lewes, and my husband enjoys the party boats, a much more affordable fishing trip for him. Cape Henlopen is a perfect place to spend the day, beaches, lighthouses, fishing, and some history. Dolphins can be spotted from the beaches. There are plenty of wonderful restaurants in the area, all different types of food. A short drive to Rehoboth beach for a little more "action", Ocean City is only about an hour drive. We have driven to Assateague Island, and the Chesapeake bay attractions in about 2 hours. Primehook Wildlife preserve and several other nature preserves nearby. Bird watchers paradise, being on the migratory path. You can enjoy every minute of your time at SeaLoft, and will be anxious to go back again and again!
