Welcome to Wicks Getaway, your own slice of paradise complete with all the comforts of home. If you are anything like us, then you will love coming back to our luxurious townhome after a day at the beach. At Wicks getaway, everything from the comfortable sofas to the beautiful deck furniture has been carefully chosen to ensure your vacation rental feels just like home...only with better weather ;-)

Only a 12 minute stroll down the beach from downtown San Juan del Sur, we are located in one of the premier developments in Nicaragua. Talanguera Townhomes is a wonderful combination of modern architecture with a design aesthetic that echoes the surrounding landscape. At the center of everything is our giant Guanacaste tree that anchors the courtyard and provides shade from the midday sun. There just isn't anything else like it in San Juan del Sur. Trust us, we looked!

The townhouse itself is 1200sqft spread over two floors. The two bedrooms are on the main floor and the open living/dining/kitchen are located above. Venture up our spiral staircase to the roof for a spectacular view of town, the bay and some of the most amazing sunsets you'll ever see.

During your stay you'll have access to all common areas including the swimming pool, garden and green space. As well as the gas BBQ on our deck, you are also welcome to use the large charcoal BBQ by the pool.

Good size for 2 couples

Pretty much everything as described in the listing- bedrooms a good size, kitchen had what we needed for the most part...but it needed more attention to cleaning. Bed linens, bathrooms and kitchen were fine, but there was a significant layer of dust on most of the surfaces and floors throughout the house, and on the outdoor furniture - more buildup than just a day or two. You could tell that lots had been there for awhile. We had to do a lot of wiping down when we arrived and lots we just lived with. If that were addressed, we would recommend this unit.

Welcome to San Juan del Sur

This was our first trip to Nicaragua and we found ourselves at home in this beautiful property. The interior decor finishes were extraordinary. Paul and Anne and their staff were very helpful and attentive. We had to be watchful of using the A/C due to electricity charges, but we just ran them at night and it was no problem at all. The windows and doors have nice screens to open them and have fresh air flowing otherwise. I highly recommend this property for anyone who wants to visit. It is a short walk to the beach where all of the action is, but just far enough away to have more peace and quiet. There was dance music in the distance at night until the wee hours of the morning, but overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time in this beautiful space.

Spacious townhouse with a view

The townhouse is modern and beautifully appointed . Beautiful view and in a nice and safe community. 5 mo uses walk to beach. My only issue would be the distance in to restaurants and town (about20 min) for me with bad foot. But if you're in better shape than me no problem. Enjoyed my stay.

Tranquility has Landed

Hidden gem. Stayed in several locations in San Juan. Coming back to this one. Don't even want to check anything else out. Clean, quiet, safe. Love this place. 2nd stay.
