Le Marais is my favorite part of Paris. I've always loved hanging on in the charming streets of this area, and feel like if I was in a cute little village. There are plenty of fancy restaurants and cafés, trendy shops and art galleries, open makets, and above all, it's so close to every thing that you want to see or visit when you're in Paris. i believe location is the most important when you choose a vacation rental, and you won't be disappointed!

What makes this apartment unique

This apartment is such a cosy place to stay at! The antique exposed beams and the stone walls bring a special charm to this authentic Marais apartment.

Cold miserable March break but warm and cozy apartment

Good to be back in the apartment every night after a full day of exploring Paris. Nice hot shower, built-in heaters and well-equipped kitchen. Sofa bed was comfortable and large enough for two teenagers. Master bedroom with king size bed (two twin beds put together) was a nice feature not available everywhere.

Problems we encountered such as lack of bed sheets for the sofa-bed, light not working on ground level entrance and washing machine being out of order were all corrected during our stay in the apartment. Cecile answered our phone complaints promptly and took time to rectify everything during our stay. The free long distance phone calls and wi-fi were added bonus that we enjoyed during the free evenings. Location of the apartment was excellent. Close to subway, walking distance to several tourist attractions and so many restaurants and grocery stores to choose from. Would definitely stay there if we visit Paris again. Thanks Cecile for everything.

Under Paris Skies

My husband and I stayed at this apartment for 2 weeks and we just loved it. It had all my requirements: a bedroom with a king size comfortable bed, washer/dryer, shower, small kitchen, proper dining table, complimentary wifi and calls to the US so I can be in touch with family which was great b/c Hurricane Sandy hit home in the US and I was able to stay in touch with my mother every day.
The location is great. St.Paul's train station is a block away and all the shops are nearby: grocery, wine, butchers, wine, chocolate and the pastry shops but the baguettes and croissants...wonderful. Bastille market is great twice a week. Notre Dam is a short walk. Get the Museum pass and get the metro tickets in a packet called carnet (10). Best way to get around.
I have friends who have used this apt. and loved it and others who are planning. We also plan to return in 2014. Cecile gave my friends a bottle of wine as a welcome.
It's a half block away from the main street so it's nice and quiet yet close to everything you might need.

We have stayed in Cecile's Marais Authentic yearly for the last 6 or 7 years because it is very clean, well decorated and close to Metro, Marches, restaurants and the heart of Paris. It is extremely well furnished and quiet, complete with a kitchen that is functional for cooking the bounty available at the local markets. My only criticism is that the bedroom is too quiet & the bed too comfortable so we sleep too late each morning to take advantage of all the area has to offer! We will always stay in one of Cecile's apartments since she is a wonderful person who knows how to keep her guests happy! You will never go wrong by selecting an apartment rental from Cecile.

We have stayed in this apartment before as well as another of Cecile's fabulous apartments and once again we were impressed by the high standards of decor, location and overall "experience". The apartment is peaceful despite being in the centre of one of the most wonderful parts of Paris with its bijou shops (literally right outside the door), quirky environment, great choice of restaurants and access to the rest of Paris - on foot or by Metro. Only sorry we couldn't stay for very long this time - just looking forward to our next visit!

We enjoyed a wonderful two weeks in Paris, and the "Authentic Marais" apartment was everything we had hoped for. The location was exceptional...so close to the St Paul Metro, food market, and many good restaurants. Although small by standards in the US, the bathroom was super, with a fantastic shower, basin, space heater, etc. The in-room safe, WIFI, and free phone calls to check in at home were all important to us.It was very quiet at night, which was much appreciated after long days of sightseeing. The only disappointment was a dvd player that would not play the DVD's we had brought to substitute for French speaking TV shows, but at least we did have English speaking news programs to keep us up to date on current events. Cecile was very attentive and responsive. We have already recommended this property to several friends that are planning Paris excursions.
