Beautiful

We were just looking for a nice place to sleep and shower and ended up staying in the nights we were there. The pictures don't do it justice. It's so quiet and peaceful, and I wasn't expecting that level of cleanliness. We had everything we needed to make dinner and spend some time glued to the fireplace. It's a great location to quickly access Asheville or Pisgah. I've already recommended this to my parents and will gladly recommend to any other family or friends staying in the area.

This ‘barn’ was well decorated and super comfortable. It includes many amenities including a gas grill so we could make most of our meals from home. It was very clean and also quiet. Our only complaint was the lack of water pressure from the shower. Thanks for a great stay! I will definitely consider staying again if/when I’m back in the area.

Awesome little place!

This barnominium is so clean, comfortable, and cozy. It’s located near many conveniences but sits so far off the road that you feel like you’re in the middle of the country. We travel frequently and like to stay at different places. The is the only rental that we book on a regular basis.

Cozy Getaway

This cozy cottage is amazing! Absolutely perfect for a weekend of fishing, hiking or biking in the Pisgah. The gas fireplace quickly heats up the space for a warm respite after a long day of fishing on the streams. Highly recommended!

Charming little mountain spot

My partner and I loved this little spot. It’s perfect for two. The little fireplace is so cozy. I feel like all problems can be solved sitting in front of it. Hiking and breweries abound close by. It was a lovely, happy weekend in Mills River at the barn.

Growing up in North Georgia and Hendersonville, Tristan and Emily currently live in Mills River. Avid cyclists, we enjoy spending time in Pisgah National Forest and Dupont State Forest and spending time with our two young children.

Why they chose this property

This one of a kind property fit our lifestyle perfectly and we lived here for over five years! With the addition of our daughter in December of 2018, we found a spot for our growing family just down the road, and welcome guests to enjoy the space that we loved so much.

What makes this property unique

How often do you get to spend time in a refurbished barn! Originally a workshop for the owner before us, there is evidence of where he hung his tools, had his workbench, and stored small projects throughout the living room.

The secluded nature of the property is conveniently located to all of the fun things to do in WNC and is just a 4 minute bike ride to Bold Rock Cider.
