My family and my sisters family recently had the opportunity to stay at this beautiful cozy,country cabin and had a great time. Without a doubt the most relaxing vacation we've had yet. My 15 year old son fished everyday. My niece was in the water from sun up to sunset. we kayaked everyday and relaxed in the evening enjoying the quite and beautiful views. would highly recommend to anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday routines. This was our second year renting the cottage and we found it not only as sweet as as we had remembered from last year but right away noticed a couple additions that actually made our stay even better. We love the long dock that my 2 little girls totally enjoyed fishing - my 7 yr old actually caught fish twice from the dock! The addition of the side dock and chairs were wonderful! I loved sitting there early mornings waiting for the sunrise (one of my favs things to do at this place). Another addition were the kayaks. My 7 yr old tried kayaking for the first time and she did great with the smaller kayak. Another of my favs were listening to the loons in the mornings and even later in the day. We had great weather and I actually welcomed a couple days of clouds that allowed us to enjoy canoe trips with the 4 of us early mornings (which meant no sunblock to worry about). The lake is big but we made it to the north end where we found two little islands with lots to look at and different views. Of course we spent lots of time swimming to the flotaing dock and on the beach area - my 3 yr old loved searching for little things on the waterfront among rocks and vegetation. The cottage is completely set up for families with children (from beach toys, gates, puzzles, a train set that my girls loved, games) and has a nice collection of movies and books for adults as well. I actually started a book that I hope to finish next time we stay. The stove is not that big but it worked for us - I even made a foccacia bread in the oven that turned out really nice. We also enjoyed the side yard for eating outdoors and the grass was great for my girls to play soccer and other games. I would definitely recommend this property as in my opinion is definitely one of best if not the best on the lake due to their location, beach, dock and amenities. We look forward to come back - one week is never enough!.

This was our second year on Peabody Pond, and once again it did not disappoint.

The foliage was beautiful and the time spent kayaking, hiking and listening to the loons was wonderful. This is a perfect getaway for anyone who just wants to relax.

There were four adults staying in the cabin and we had plenty of room. The cabin is clean, comfortable and very inviting...one of the nicest places on the pond!

The owners are nice and very accommodating. They truly make you feel very at home in their home. We will definitely stay here again, and we highly recommend to anyone looking to rent in Maine!
