Enjoy the beautiful views of peaceful Peabody Pond with 220 feet of secluded waterfront! The cottage is clean and well maintained. We have a nice sandy beach with a gradual entry into the water. Our spot is ideal for a family of 4 - 6, or two couples. The lake is home to loons, ducks and other wildlife and perfect for kayaking, canoeing, fishing and swimming. There is a swim float for deep water diving, a nice long dock, a canoe, two kayaks and a very large yard situated on one acre lot so there is lots of privacy. The lake is 2 miles long by 1.25 miles wide, 65 feet deep with minimal motorboat traffic and is located just northwest of big Sebago lake. It is stocked with salmon, trout, and small mouth bass so the fishing is good. No jet skis please.

Nearest Airport: Portland, Maine at 50 Miles
Peabody Pond is located northwest of Big Sebago Lake, off route 107. It is a 20 minute drive to the quaint town of Bridgton which has lots of shops and restaurants. Also, a close drive to Naples and the Naples' causeway and Long lake. There are boat and jet ski rentals available in Naples and lots of shops and eateries along the water. Freeport, Maine, the home of L.L. Bean and other outlet stores is about an hour drive and Portland is a 45 minute drive from Peabody Pond.

Fabulous vacation!

What a terrific place! We vacationed with four children (2 boys ages 14 & 15, and 2 girls ages 9 & 11). Everyone had the time of their lives. Although we loved the area, our preference was to be at the cabin. The kids loved the floating dock and kayaks. The lake was beautiful, warm and quiet. It was the perfect combination of relaxation, adventure and fun! We enjoyed hiking on nearby trails, steaming Maine lobster (bought in a nearby town and cooked at the cabin), and visiting Portland for the day - only one hour away. The cabin had everything we needed and more. We can't wait to go back!

A Perfect Getaway!

Thank you for allowing us to vacation in your beautiful cottage. We wish we did not have to leave!

The cottage is fantastic and so comfortable. The outside surroundings are so nice, especially the beautiful foliage. We loved the kayaks, canoe and really enjoyed the sights and sounds of the loons. What a peaceful getaway.

We look forward to visiting again next year!

Peace and quiet...and only one jet ski!

A coworker rented this camp before me, so it wasn't a total unknown---a great stress reliever. The owner is great and very helpful with questions about the amenities, local farm stands and such--the list she provided was very detailed and complet.The cottage was clean and neat and more than adequate. (My only suggestions would be a better vacuum and that the clothes racks be more securely attached to the walls.) The neighbors are pleasant and quiet, and I think we saw only three different power boats and just the one jet ski. The pond is very clean and the swimming is great, as is the kayaking. My friends and I wanted quiet and that's what we got. Naples and Windham are an easy drive if you need stores, restaurants or want to catch a movie. I would recommend this property if you are looking for a comfortable, quiet vacation.

Sept 15 to sept 22nd. Had a great time. Got a little chilly the first couple of nights but the wood stove takes care of that nicely. The lake was great! We had fun kayaking and watching the Ducks. We even saw an Eagle catch a fish!! We checked out Naples and Portland and of course LL Bean. Nice to be up there off season. Great weather and not as many vacationers. All in all a great time, Thanks, Bob and Chris

MY FAMILY OF FIVE STAYED HERE IN JULY FOR ONE WEEK. PLENTY OF SPACE FOR A FAMILY. ENJOYED THE VERY PEACEFUL AND TRANQUIL PEABODY POND. KIDS ENJOYED USING THE KAYAKS PROVIDED. I WAS TOLD THE FISHING WAS GOOD BUT DID NOT GET THE OPPORTUNITY TO TRY IT OUT. MY WIFE AND I APPRECIATED THE R AND R AT PEABODY POND.
