Spacious (5 bedrooms plus 2 bunkrooms or 7 sleeping areas), comfortable, and well-equipped, Chateau Margo offers two master balconies with great views of the Gulf of Mexico. The master bedrooms have king-size beds with garden tubs in master bath & one with an adjoining bunk room. Two additional bedrooms with queen size beds. The main living area features a full-size gourmet kitchen and dining area with double glass doors leading to the main deck. The downstairs apartment offers a king-size day bed, queen sofa bed, separate bunk room, complete kitchen, dining area & large patio.   • Sleep 14 in beds, plus two bunk rooms and two sleeper sofas for a total of 18. The 2 masters are 20 x 20 very large and spacious. One has a fire place in bedroom. You can see and hear the waves from the master bedrooms. All the bedrooms have a deck off of them except one. Many extras in bedrooms, chase, armor, chester drawers, chairs and ottomans. Downstairs apt. has a king day bed and bunk beds and a queen sofa sleeper Chateau Margo is right at the beach no need for a car or golf cart because it is at the beach. There is a large pool right across from the house with sand volley ball court and 2 tennis courts.

A Wonderful Vacation Home/It Was Perfect For Us!

The home was better then presented,thru the pictures.Location was ideal,view was fabulous,great pool,short walk to the most beautiful beach,golf courses picture perfect and not crowded.Shopping and many restaurants near by.The home had everything,with very expensive dishes,every type of pots,pans and the bed linens exquisite.The property very clean,the best maintained home we have ever stayed in,we felt like it was our own.We will be going back,we all hated to leave,you would be hard pressed to find anything more beautiful.

House was very nice. The only complaint was it was listed as 7 bedrooms and it actually had 5 bedrooms with 2 walk-in clothests with bunk bed in them that were very very small. The 2 master suits were very nice & the apartment downstairs was large too.

Great vacation spot for large groups!!

We stayed at this house with 18 people total for Spring Break this year. Our group had one of the best vacations we had ever had at this house. It was a great amenity to hold our large group. At full capacity their was not much room for storage but a place to sleep was not a problem! The house had close access to the beach and pool which was nice for the uneasy weather and was a really short walk to either place! The house is located in a nice neighborhood along Old 98, so it is near all kinds of shopping and great restaurants like Pompeno Joes and the Crab Trap! The girls really enjoyed the downstairs apartment at the house which had its own kitchen and it allowed for the adults to have our own space! The patios that wrapped around the house were amazing and it was fun to eat out there during meals. The house is well managed with stylish decorations and is equipped to meet every need, the laundry and dishwasher were running constantly! We really recommend this house for any group looking to have a great vacation!

What a wonderful experience!

Chateau Margo was exactly what we needed for our Christmas vacation with our children and grand children. Everyone loved the house. Our four grand children enjoyed their own apartment downstairs where they could play games, listen to their music and ate their snacks but joined us in the beautiful dining room for our meals that were prepared in the well equipped kitchen. All the adults appreciated their privacy in their well decorated bedrooms.
We spent a lot of time on the balconies sun bathing and enjoying the view. The men and the boys played a lot of tennis and after a good lunch we would all enjoyed the afternoon on the beach, some reading a good book, others building sand castles. We would all wait (with cameras) to see the sun come down. This is the most beautiful beach, no wonder they call it "The Emerald Coast". One of the things we miss is our early morning walk along the golf when everything is quiet and you watch the sun rise above the water. What a view!
Chateau Margo is close to good restaurants and great shopping malls.
This vacation for us was an experience of a lifetime. We have children living on the east coast and on the west coast so this was the perfect place to meet and 2007 was the year of several wedding anniversaries, our 50th, our daughters and husbands 25th and 15th, and 5th for our son and his wife. What a better occasion for these celebrations! Thank you Margo for sharing your gorgeous home with us.

1st trip to Destin

The property was very nice with lots of room (be ready to get your exercise if staying on the top floor). We had 4 families that really enjoyed staying together vs condo that were cramped. Gas grill on deck was excellent for in-eating. The lack of some small essentials such as trash bags, detergents, etc... would have been nice for us just arriving, especially with the amount paid. The view of the road near the beach is a little misleading in that a high mag zoom lens was used to show the beach to be closer than it actually was. It is only about a 5 min. walk to the beach. Nice pool, tennis court and sand volley ball court. Beautiful neighborhood surronding the property. The property owner was available for eating suggestions and any questions that we had. Great food within 5 minutes walking. Gorgeous beaches, golf was excellent (recommend Kelly's Plantation, Raven at Sandestin and Regatta Bay. Shopping outlets within 10 min. drive. Sandestin has excellent restaurants and atmosphere (strongly suggest visiting there-10 min drive). If you are looking for beach front property, this is not your choice. If you are looking for easy beach access with private accommodations this is your house.
