Photos and Description of the Waterford vacation house rental

This is a family compound ideal for family reunions or a group. Camp Waganki is on the shore of McWain Pond an hour from the coast and the White Mts. It has four main buildings: Lodge, Director's Cottage and two Staff Cabins. The Lodge has rustic Maine character. The great room has a stone fireplace and large windows on the south side looking down towards the lake. It has three bedrooms: one upstairs-king bed; two downstairs: one-twin bed and bunk bed; the other queen and small bunk bed for kids. The kitchen is 'renovated' with old elements from camp; new dishwasher and refrigerator. Kitchen can handle large meal prep. The Director's Cottage is up to date with character. It has a huge screened-in porch with a dining/sitting area looking down towards the lake. The living room is cozy, has skylights/woodstove; it has a queen pull-out futon couch. The kitchen has a dishwasher, gas stove and a pass through window to the porch. It has a washer/dryer. The bedroom-queen size bed.

Location: Western Maine < Maine < USA

Waterford is located in the Western Maine Lakes Region-Sebago Lake, Kezar Lake and Long Lake, White Mts, Appalachian Trail, Rivers for paddling; Androscoggin and Saco and many local hikes. North Conway, NH is 45 minutes away; Portland and Freeport are about 1 hour and 15 minutes away. North Conway is a mountain town with outlet shopping, quaint downtown and the jumping off place for the White Mts. Portland known for its amazing restaurants and old 'new' waterfront and of course Freeport for L.L. Bean. There are many beach outings-Scarborough and Higgins. This is a great day trip pack a picnic and spend the day at the beach. We have plenty of information on all these and more outings at the camp. There is a public golf course Norway Country Club (9 holes)-great views, very friendly, kid friendly, and restaurant. Ten minutes away. Fun little towns to visit- Bridgton-great shops and Reny's - the Maine Department Store. Norway is the nearby bigger town-12 minutes away.

The Staff Cabins:: The Staff Cabins (2) are smaller each have a living room, bedroom with a queen-size bed, a bathroom and a screened-in porch. Each cabin either has a pull-out futon in the living room and/or twin bed on porch. Cabins can accommodate a small family. The Lakefront is 250' of frontage on the sunny side of lake. New dock and float. Shoreline walk. Lakefront is accessed by our own camp road (three minute walk) or drive down. Large grassy area with campfire circle. Shady grove area with hammock. Large picnic table. The whole camp is family friendly just come and enjoy no worries.
