This is a family compound ideal for family reunions or a group. Camp Waganaki is on the shore of McWain Pond an hour from the coast and the White Mts. It has four main buildings: Lodge, Director's Cottage and two Staff Cabins.

The kitchen is 'renovated' with old elements from camp; new dishwasher and refrigerator. Kitchen can handle large meal prep.
The Director's Cottage is up to date with character. It has a huge screened-in porch with a dining/sitting area looking down towards the lake. The living room is cozy, has skylights/wood stove; it has a queen pull-out futon couch. The kitchen has a dishwasher, gas stove and a pass through window to the porch. It has a washer/dryer. The bedroom-king size bed.

Large grassy area with campfire circle. Shady grove area with hammock. Large picnic table. The whole camp is family friendly just come and enjoy. No worries.
Our family purchased this special property in 2001. It was a boy's camp called Camp Waganaki. I have four children and a large family if we could pull this off what a place it would be for family get togethers. We took out money from our retirement and put it towards purchasing the Camp. I've never looked back. It is a labor of love, a testament to patience and lots of hard work. We have made wonderful memories at our Camp. I hope you will too!
Mary Kate McTeigue purchased this lodge in 2001
My father and mother had gone to summer camp in the area. I grew up vacationing in Western Maine my whole life. I always wondered when our two weeks was over why we had to go home. I wanted to live in Maine by a lake. Now I own this huge boy's camp and have my hands and life full of Maine and all that it brings … sunsets, swims, the odd mouse and memories!
An early morning swim.
A silent paddle, sneaking up on the loons.
No public access, very quiet.
Taking a bath in the master bedroom suite in the Main Lodge.
Sitting with family in the Great Room, playing boggle and handing out awards at the end of the week. Camper of the Week is the Coveted Award amongst many others…everyone gets an award.
Waterford is located in the Western Maine Lakes Region-Sebago Lake, Kezar Lake and Long Lake, White Mts, Appalachian Trail, Rivers for paddling; Androscoggin and Saco and many local hikes. North Conway, NH is 45 minutes away; Portland and Freeport are about 1 hour and 15 minutes away.

This is a great day trip pack a picnic and spend the day at the beach. We have plenty of information on all these and more outings at the camp.
